Avengers: Doomsday | Now in Production cast reveal

My basic problem is that, with such a large cast, few of them are getting any real treatment. Cameo city.
They'll all be on a Zoom call at the beginning of the movie and then the rest of the story just follows Ant Man trying to set up the perfect birthday party for his daughter and accidentally foiling the plans of Doom over and over again.

(At least it would in my perfect movie!)

Having Scott Lang be super-well intentioned, but seeming to succeed mostly by goofy accident, would not be the worst movie-pitch ever.

So a Doombot is a trope in Marvel Comics. Doctor Doom would get beaten, captured, killed, whatever, but SHOCK...it's not really Doctor Doom. He's a genius scientist who has created multiple fully autonomous robotic duplicates and the heroes really just defeated one of his duplicates. They've used it pretty creatively in many stories, but that's still the basic gist.
It's also a really convenient way for Doctor Doom to shift the blame for various misdeeds. For example, there was an X-Men comic way back in the day when he was working with Arcade (because Latveria was currently under the control of revolutionaries), and together they kidnapped the X-Men and, among other things, encased Storm in a metal shell. Ororo is claustrophobic (or was, I think it was mentioned in a comic the last few years that she went to therapy to get over that), so she did not take that very well. More recently, Storm became one of the leaders of the Arakko mutant offshoots on terraformed Mars, and had a nice polite dinner with Doom where she brought up the incident and he's like "Oh, that was a Doombot. Sorry about that."

Similarly, he has claimed that it was a Doombot who was trying to get out of paying Power Man the $200 he owed him.

I also think having Channing Tatum as Gambit - and giving him billing - is wild. Seriously? Why?
Since the Fox X-Men aren't likely to survive these two movies, Disney is probably currying a lot of favor with Tatum by giving him his shot and maybe even a decent sized supporting role before they off him. And lots of superhero movie fans will be excited to see him in the role.
