I would like to see another 5e version of Star Wars too, but I don't want WotC anywhere near it.April 1 jokes aside, they announced not too long ago that they are aiming to do with 5E what they have been doing with M:tG -- have crossovers with other licensed IP. I don't think we have any actual details beyond that (correct me if I am wrong, please), but as it is going to happen here is the question:
What licensed IP -- movies, books, games, comics, whatever -- do you want to see given the 5E (presumably 2024) treatment by WotC? What form (dice, minis, setting book, adventure, map pack, etc) would you want it to take?
As a corollary: what IP would you absolutely NOT want to see WotC do for 5E in this initiative? Why? Who would do it otherwise?
For my part, i am not sure "want" is the right word but I still think that an official 5E version of Star Wars would sell a stupid amount, more than any previous Star Wars RPG.
Yet they are coming anyway. For 5E? Nothing, particularly. I prefer bespoke systems for games.
Just answered the question you asked.Yet they are coming anyway.
