Spoilers Star Wars: Andor season 2

I couldn’t understand a word that Forrest Whitaker said. That whole subplot was lost on me. Maybe I should rewatch with subtitles on—but what was that machine?

Other than the Saw Garerra bits, these three episodes were a step up from last week’s. I really enjoyed it.

Almost waiting for this.

Varian Sky lifts his shades: “it is I, Andor”.

Syril gets out his powerful binoculars.

Kleya has to retrieve a bug from behind the painting of The Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies. She has trouble pulling it out.

That show has a lot to answer for.

(NB, 'Allo 'Allo started out as a parody of the highly acclaimed Secret Army which I referenced earlier, but it ended up running for much longer (and longer than the actual war).)

Perhaps it would be useful to post a summary for those who haven't seen The Clone Wars:

In a thinly veiled Vietnam allegory, the Republic land a small cadre on Onderon to train local rebels to fight Separatist occupiers. Saw's sister is the smart one and becomes the original leader of the group. When she is killed Saw (an idiot) takes over the group, swearing revenge on the universe.

In a sense, you could say Anakin Skywalker (who led the Republic cadre) created Saw.

IMNSHO, "kinderblock" does give those vibes, but has the problem that it goes a little too far in terms of obviousness. It's like they named an angry, fascist quarry boss "Mine Furiouser".

Or named a random drug dealer "Elan Sleazebaggano".

Your not going to like the charachter names in Fury Road or Furiossa one bit.....

It’s not a volume issue, it’s just the way he’s talking.
Yeah, I think Forest is leaning a bit too much into drug-addled, crazy guy talk. I don't remember it being quote so unintelligible in his other appearances as Saw (Rogue One, Jedi: Fallen Order, Rebels).

Andrew Kishino, who voiced Saw in The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch, was much more intelligible, but then he was playing a younger version of the character.
