I am surprised I am still excited for Daggerheart

Out of curiosity, what's the problem? It's not 5E? The duality dice? What do you think makes it untenable for your players?
Busy lives. We have a game we like. It's not about this game, it's about learning and starting over. I've got numerous hobbies, as do most of them. And money. I'm retired and have more games than I already play.

I've borrowed an early version of the dice ( no idea what the current rules are).

Although I am not able to do so while at work, it seems that Drivethrurpg has the core rules available in PDF. Have to check this out tonight.

I just downloaded it (I had gotten it as a pre-order).

The only bad (?) part about the pdf is that the character sheets and cards are all part of the core book instead of being their own files. Which may or may not actually be a bad thing, depending on your point of view. But I'm going to have to go split them off into their own things.

My print copy arrived yesterday, and I grabbed my PDF about an hour ago after a work meeting wrapped up.

Seriously geeking out right now.

Some fun things:

It has FFXIV Miqote - the cat people can be that or furry at your discretion and some of the art has them as miqote.
There's a campaign frame based on 'Delicious in Dungeon' complete with feast rules.
There's a sci fi and 'cowboy western' campaign frame.
It has ancestries from mythology like faun, minotaur (firbolg), and fey. Not just the usual Tolkien list.
There's a lot of good 'how to run this thing' advice which I feel will be critical since it has some major differences with modern tRPGs.

And overall the production quality of the product looks very high.

This threatens to end up as my main tRPG instead of Pathfinder 2E. We'll see.

Recent details on this have made me curious, and I managed to find a store in the UK with a couple in stock so, order placed…

This video really piqued my interest:

Hear me out: Eberron via Daggerheart.
Seems like a natural fit!

I bought Daggerheart because I'm an idiot, even though I'm not done reading through Outgunned Adventure, and I have to say, it does look very good, just reading the actual core rules, and I'm particularly interested to see any expansions which take it outside of generic D&D-esque fantasy.
