D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

Not a lot of precedent, in particular...but it wouldn't be surprising either.

The UA is more suggestive than the date, as is the parallel of Forge of the Artificer.
I agree the UA is a huge indicator. I just wouldn't read deep into the calendar date. If we get a Ravenloft book in October, that would be due more to fortuitous timing than any attempt to align with Halloween.

On a semi-related note, I hope we hear something this week.

Antime after tomorrow would be in line eith their historic rollout.

So apparently the October book is off the release schedule. I think that proves it was MtG and not Ravenloft and the Eberron delay shows that October book needed to be ready yesterday for it to get released.

Guess we'll see it in 2026...

Was this confirmed by WotC?
No. But the fact that we should have heard something about it's existence by now is indication that it's not happening this year. They are ramping up the marketing on the Starter Set and beginning to promote the Forgotten Realms books in November. The October book still doesn't have a title announcement. I'm pretty sure that's an indication it's been removed from the release schedule.
