Let’s just say, if the child were smart/older/precocious, and were collateral damage (or directly targeted) in a war, they might have very strong opinions about certain responsible political figures.

The child might have been upset when a celebrity refused to attend his birthday or replaced his favourite character on TV or refused to be their boyfriend or released yet another terrible christmas album or made outrageous claims on syndicated news or ..

Alchemy - Call of Cthulhu. The PCs are searching for the laboratory of an ancient alchemist who supposedly learned the secret of transmuting base elements from Nyarlathotep. When they reach his laboratory what they find is not the philosopher's stone but an atom bomb core

Politicians are always trying to ban the best videogames and playground equipment. That goes double for 'think-of-the-children' politicians

Blaine the Train is a Pain- Paranoia. While traveling between sectors of Alpha Complex the PCs are held captive by a deranged riddle-obsessed robot train like the one in books 3 and 4 of The Dark Tower. The riddle contest is further complicated by the fact that the PCs will be punished if they ask or answer any riddle whose solution indicates a knowledge of things above their clearance level.
