Good one. I'll concede there's another WotC out there, albeit for minis games rather than RPGs. GW has always been the WotC of minis games anyway.Every edition of every Games Workshop game ever.

Traveller games all by the same company? If so, fair enough.Traveller - Megatraveller - Traveller the New Era
MERP/Rolemaster 2 - RMSS
HeroQuest - HeroQuest 2 (arguably)
I am not the only person who sees the WotC editions as different games. I guarantee it.This is the core nonsense that supports your position. Of course I can speak to wider trends and opinions. The only reason you don't is that you don't have any that support your opinion.
That means .. what exactly. Let me rephrase that - I'm not the only one who holds a solipsistic and biased view of what the release of a new game edition means. I'm not sure how that helps.I am not the only person who sees the WotC editions as different games. I guarantee it.
Oh yes, GW has never published RPGs or had editions of those RPGs not be compatible. Never ever. Jesus murphy.Good one. I'll concede there's another WotC out there, albeit for minis games rather than RPGs. GW has always been the WotC of minis games anyway.
The only one of those games I know well enough to have an opinion on is L5R, and the four editions made by AEG are all broadly compatible with each other. I know because I've done it. Even the WotC version has rules for the second edition of the AEG game. The other games with that name were made by other companies, and are no more the same game than the multiple Star Wars RPGs published by different companies are.Every edition of Exalted
Every edition of Legend of the Five Rings
Every edition of Shadowrun
Every edition of Earthdawn
Every edition of Mutants and Masterminds
Dark Heresy Second Edition
Second Edition of Apocalypse World
Second edition of Monsterhearts
The New World of Darkness
Chronicles of Darkness (New World of Darkness Second Edition)
In my experience lack of compatibility is far more the norm.
How is your opinion less biased than mine? Because it's more positive? Because theoretically more people agree with you? I don't think so.That means .. what exactly. Let me rephrase that - I'm not the only one who holds a solipsistic and biased view of what the release of a new game edition means. I'm not sure how that helps.
Ok. I don't know everything, obviously. What do you mean?Oh yes, GW has never published RPGs or had editions of those RPGs not be compatible. Never ever. Jesus murphy.
