We had yous - plural of you, in parts of Michigan (Lower Peninsula - Yupers don't really count) due to the Polish and German influences. Every waitress in my Home town all ways asks, "whach yous want, hon?"
The DM's are awesome, the players are pretty good also, the games are fun and we are a pretty laid back group.
I am one of the part timers (Moved out of the area, but I try to commute back as much as possible)
Give us a shout, you can email at cjyoung1(at)gmail(dot)com
Just say no to Jackson.
I worked there this summer (live in Ann Arbor). Jackson is not the most gamer friendly town in Michigan. It is a bit closed minded about anything that is not main stream. It also does not have the best school system, but there is a federal prison there!!!
Great group
I'm one of those guys who can't play as much any more because he has to work (Damn the Lotto!)
I can say that they are a great group of guys - fun to play with and they have some very interesting character concepts! ;)
If you live in the area give them a call. If you are lucky...
I would third Alternity - a long with the Star*Drive setting. The system is great and the setting has just about all the "hard" sci-fi a person would want.
Detroit
True, most of Detroit looks as if it has all ready been attacked by aliens. (Lived there for 7 years - half of those south of 8 mile :) - Detroit native joke ) But there are still 3 major plants 1 Ford, the Chrysler's JNAP and the GM Cadillic plant within the city limits. Surrounding...
What about Detroit?
I would think that Detroit would be high on any list of cities to destroy. It has one of the largest manufacturing bases in the world. Remember World War II and the arsenal of democracy? That was refering to Detroit.
Even with the current decline in the automotive industry...
I think that I sent an email to you yesterday, I was seriously medicated though. As I am just getting over the flu.
If i didn't send it out, then I am interested; if I did, then you've got my email and I am still interested.

Grew up in Bay City Michigan (yes, the Bay City rollers did name themselves after the town) a city of 35,000 people. Located in the nook of the thumb, about an hour and a half north of Detroit.
Don't know if this helps, but in Kalamazoo there is this the westen area roll players. I went to WMU in the early 90's and there were quite a few players.
Now there is almost no one here in the Tri-cities...
I saw this article about an hour before I read this thread. It did upset me, for more then one reason.
I am good friends with a journalist and learned quite a bit from her, and this article is just poor journalism. I am from the Detroit area and it makes Detroit look even worse, and it...
