Want to recommend a book, or a series of books?

Yay! A Tim Powers fan! Sorry, sometimes I think it's only my brother and I who like him. Tim's best books (In order of best to still pretty good, in my opinion): Last Call (Gangsters, Las Vagas and Gods of Chance!) Anibus Gates (Time Traveling and Werewolves!) On Stranger Tides (Pirates and...

CSI Miami aka The Horatio Caine Show

The main problem with both CSI: Miami and CSI: NY is that it feels like they lost the flavour of the original CSI. CSI is supposed to be about the cases, the stranger the better. Grissom was always the scientist, looking for clues and following the evidence. CSI:Miami is about Horatio Cain...

    DnD DVD

There are two "good" endings, and two...not so good. So far, the fourth ending seems to be the hardest to get to. I posted in another thread some hints on how to get to it. Not to give anything away, but I could post these hints here as well if people would like them. BTW: They have updated...

    How alien should aliens be?

True, but that was one of the reasons I liked it. Even though they didn't really have any reason to interact, there was always a possibilty they would (eventually). Not one to ignore science, I just like the idea of nature surprising us with it's adaptivness. "No life could survive in this kind...

    How alien should aliens be?

When it comes to TV and movies, it's rare that aliens deviate from the human standard pattern. Some of it is based on limited budget. It gets really expensive to have CG special effects every time you see a main character. It's also a matter of letting the actor be able to express themselves...

    Scourge of Worlds

On the full version of the DVD, under the "help" menu ("Help", then "More") there are also 6 jump points so that you can skip ahead. They take you anywhere from right at the begining of the story to somewhere near the end. -Dhevan

    Scourge of Worlds

That's the problem with non-linear stories. There's actually over 2hrs of film on the DVD, it's just that the more choices that are available, the shorter the overall length of the film. -Dhevan

    Scourge of Worlds

Hey there. The fourth ending is probably the hardest to get to (if it's the one I'm thinking of). The DVD only make two endings available at the end. Which two depends on the choices made and information aquired during the adventure. Some suggestions to get to the fourth ending: -Make choices...

What book should I read now?

There is a series that I enjoyed as much as the George RR Martin series, but for different reasons. The first book is called "Gardens of the Moon" by Steven Erikson. It starts off quite good, and each book only gets better (the third is absolutly fantastic). It's a combination high magic...

"Scourge Of Worlds - A Dungeons and Dragons Adventure" DVD

Sorry, I should've been clearer with that. The Jump points can be found on the FULL version of the DVD. I believe that the sampler has this option disconnected.:( -Dhevan

"Scourge Of Worlds - A Dungeons and Dragons Adventure" DVD

There are 6 jump points, starting anywhere from right at the begining to right near the end of the story. It's pretty easy to get to any of the paths from any one of the six choices. A save feature would only work on some game systems, and the DVD was designed to work on any home DVD theatre...

"Scourge Of Worlds - A Dungeons and Dragons Adventure" DVD

Hey there. The removal of the DVD navigation options is different in this case because of the "choose your own adventureness" of it. Since it is a non-linear story, fast forwarding and skipping chapters would simply take you to a different chapter numerically and not necessarily the next part...
