I would have to agree, the MMO's I always played the pet classes just because of the survivability that is needed when you go into dungeons without a group. Base class though in DnD I love the arcane casters (wizard and Sorc)

I agree there 100%. The melee classes definately got a boost in abilities. Wizards especially, are limited to a few good feats and of course the metamagics. What WOTC did with The Complete Arcane added a few nice feats. Once again not OGL :(.

Honestly if your playing in a home campaign, there is no reason why you couldn't have the FR Deities and the Pathfinder Deities in one setting. I would look at FR Deities ruling over FR planes and material planes and the Pathfinder Deities in the same campaign just ruling over "different" planes...
