Riel motions to the webs under the bridge. "If the spiders had a nest, it looks like it was under the bridge... Perhaps there is something of value from other victims?" He looks to see if there are any handholds to the underside of the bridge...or perhaps a way down from another angle.

Grimacing at the mess, Riel wipes his blade with some fallen leaves and sheathes it. He looks around warily. "Is there anything I can do to help?" he asks...

Riel grasps his sword tightly and fiercely stabs the spider as it turns towards Elydd... 1d20+2=12 1d8+1=7, doubled damage roll =13 [OOC: Assuming I don't get the plus 4 for attacking by surprise, as I, once again, assume the spider knows I'm there...]

Sorry for the long lapse, all. Medical issues are mostly cleared up, internet/email problems fixed, and I'm back in the swing of things... Stupid "Real Life Problems." ;)
