Alright, so my DM recently decided in effort to balance the game he was going to remove the spell slots gained by spell caster via having a high ability score, unless we can provided him with a reason that this is a bad idea.
Now I know that this not a good idea but for the life of me i can't...
As the title states im looking for some already made puzzles or ideas to help me make a few puzzles. Specificly im looking for a few puzzle that are tied/bassed around the varrious schools of magic as the adventure is set in a long forgotten swamp sunken wizard's college..
The party includes...
The only undead template I can remember that includes fey is 'Monstrous Vampire'. Basically the same thing as normal vampire but fey, dragons, giants, magical beasts, animals, and aberrations can be augmented.

Thanks this is a very handy i have a player who's from originally from Inneotdar and another player who's been jurneying around the continent for about 60 years he's originally from an land across the sea so this helps put certain things in prospective.
Okay well i'll find something to use...
Okay as you can see from the title i have a few questions, the first and second were things i know have been answered before but because of the unfortunate hacker attack on Enworld I can no longer find the threads. The third concerns the technologist base class created by Enworld.
1. Whats the...
Well after resting the night we ventured out and in one of the main areas we found dozens of goblins killed in what looks like a ritual suicide according to my knowledge religion... so yeah
And our hydra shaped memember lived barely due to the couple of heal spells i had left, how lucky were we...
Alright so we managed to get our rogue into the dragon and after several turns he made his way into it's stomach where he set of the tree, which ripped two huge holes in the dragon and rooted it too the ground. It however did not kill said dragon, so the rogue climbed back up its throat grabbed...
This isn't entirely true when we were around level 6 we got boxed in by a wall of thorns and when my character cried out for mercy thinking we were facing some hidden druids three trees bellowed back "NO MERCY" turned out we were facing 3 Octopus trees... which if i remember correctly are like...
I don't have access to the spell and the druid didn't prepare it unfortunately. We weren't expecting much resistance just a simple sabotage and running, and then there was the dragon...
The room we are in is actually a tower with 3 floors, each rooms is about 50ft tall and 100ft across, in the center of the second and third floor is a circular hole about 15-20 across (big enough for the dragon to fit through) and along the walls runs a spiral staircase.
As Finnie said we're...
Two major problems with this 1) as this is our DM's own world with his own pantheon Tiamat doesnt exist & 2) since we came in the goblins kept saying their god would avenge them and then when the dragon showed up it said some thing akin to "I know you were coming, but its still hard to beleive...
Well the biggest problem is that we wern't prepared at all it kinda just showed up at the door behind us, i managed to hit it with a spell that entagles it with ice but it broke out, and that was really the only tactile spell we had prepared... not the smartest move on our part but we were set...
In the last session me and my primary group ended mid battle with us pited against a varriant of the green dragon (huged sized) our DM created and from what we can tell it severally tainted.
Anyway heres the break down of the party:
7 rogue/2 fighter
6 fighter/3 scout
9 Druid
3 Wizard/3...
