Yeah, in 2024, keeping your racial abilities is ambiguous. Not in 2014 though.

Sooooo tempted but I just joined another OSR campaign so am maxed right now until of one my campaigns ends. Can't do Paranoia too. Great game though. I used to GM it in the 90s (still have the books). BTW, there are two Paranoia discords (that I know of; I'm on both).

We arecJust using it as an engine to run an add-on called skycrawl, which is the sister of downcrawl.

They don't have any restrictions for armor and weapons by class listed unless you're talking about spellcasting. a magic user cannot be more than lightly encumbered to cast spells but you can be unencumbered and still wear leather armor ... Leather armor doesn't even count towards encumbrance...

It's B/X, LotFP. The only house rules we've done are no 6 page first level summoning spell (I think he said he was going to replace it with find familiar which is not in this version of the game but I never rolled it) and instead of one random roll for a levelup spell, I roll five times and...

Bonus spell slots? That is clerics. I talked him into a bag of holding. Now I just need two fullsize spellbooks. LOL. Spells take 1 page per spell level, so if you had 7 lev 1, 2 and 3 spells, that is already 42 of the 50 that fit in a traveling spellbook.

He allows anyone to be any class. I could have been a dwarf even. And he doesn't do racial level maximums. He is using dmg, PHB, psionics, wizards and other handbooks, etc. The tome of magic too. 80% is good but there are a few spells I would not be happy about not having if I rolled poorly. I...

Exactly. This DM is using the % to know spells. Max spells isn't an issue, Gnome with 19 INT. :)
