Well, in an actual D&D game they'd be real babies, which kind of lets the caption make sense. Separates evil from Evil. Or D&D from HackMaster. One of those. :D

They'd be less silly if they didn't come in random booster packs. But hey, what do you expect from cheap (quality, certainly not price) plastic mass production thingums? Warhammer quality these things ain't.

I'd say it's at least 90% fluff. Besides a handful of new rituals and some magic items, the only real crunchy bits are the easily ignored stat blocks. You could easily use it as a worldbook for any system you wanted to.

I hope the Animal Companions advance with your character in a way that doesn't mean they'll die pretty much instantly if an enemy gets a hold on them. Maybe it's because I'm an animal person, but I never liked going through a dozen Animal Companions by level ten, or "upgrading" to something...

I'm of the opinion that the Players need to know that yes, the PCs can die if they (or their teammates) screw up. It makes the game more exciting and it encourages cooperation and intelligent play. If your character is never at risk when he falls, but at worst only has to wait a couple of turns...

I'm not sure how it works in Germany, but in the U.S. a debit card works just as well as a credit card for online transactions. I don't have a credit card myself, nor do I want one. My debit card is able to do anything a credit card can.
