Two new Standard Actions for versatility

I actually like both of those suggested standard actions. They are simple and effective. The total recovery one makes it a bit difficult for immobilizing effects since any melee combatant will immediately will go to try to break it and it will give multiple effects a kick in the pants.

    Sirot's Necromancer

The necromancer has become level 4 and gained a list of all the appropriate powers. There were many changes to pre-existing abilities. Google Documents is horrible for creating tables, I might instead opt to make a quick website for the class. EDIT: Oh wow, I checked out some of other...

    Sirot's Necromancer

I am designing a full 30 level necromancer for my personal use. I am slowly going to build him up and eventually he will have full 30 levels fleshed out. If anyone is interested in its progress there is a link below. Anyone is free to use it and all suggestions are welcomed. Mini-FAQ: Wait...I...

    Excerpt: Archons (merged)

I remember reading on the Archon Ecology that Archons (at least fire archons) are very militaristic and disciplined. Them being chaotic makes no sense. I can see them being evil, since they are basically engines of destruction but they are engines that have a focus and will do their tasks...

5th Level Wizard Has 2 Daily And 2 Encounter Powers

I believe that Lay on Hands can be used times per day equal to the Paladin's charisma modifier. Since the Paladin had 16 char (+3 bonus), I think it's a reasonable guess. I like the new casting system, it's nice and neat. I wonder how many spells the wizard can keep in his spellbook and can he...

    Implementation of Long-Term Damage

@ Celebrim: While your solution may be most realistic, it has some excess baggage that is counter-intuitive to the simplicity that 4th edition heralds. Plus, have reduced bonuses to abilities is still an icky mechanic that should be avoided. @ small pumpkin man: One thing I begun to realize is...

    Implementation of Long-Term Damage

I am loving 4E currently, but there are still some things in the haze that worry me. It mostly has to do with the new extended rest mechanic in which you recover your full health after resting for 6 hours. At first glance, I found the mechanic great because it keeps adventures fast paced and...

Warlock's Curse, Fey Pact and a Bag o'Rats...

I guess you need to provoke the rat as well...flick it a few times in the head so it starts squirming around your hand to bite you. It's attacking now, so the rat can be considered an enemy : )

    D&D 4E 4E PHP cover art changed

Oooh, I am thrilled with this news. I hope the new cover is not a step back though and is more "adventurery".

Worlds & Monsters -- I has it, too!

Than we have an interesting development then, good sir. She seems awfully powerful then.

Worlds & Monsters -- I has it, too!

Err...I was refering to the Raven Queen. Not to the Lady of Pain. Sorry, my mistake.

Worlds & Monsters -- I has it, too!

It does give me a "Lady of Pain" vibe and I liked her. Does she have an actual name or just that title? Any word on how the mechanical or flavor with the undead? Much thanks in advance.
