D&D 5E Those of you who have actually PLAYED 5e...

My advice tidbit would be to be liberal with giving out advantage and disadvantage! It's a fun mechanic and players seem to really enjoy it. I'm still experimenting with how much to use it, but I'm leaning toward "often."

D&D 5E D&D Livestream: Lost Mine of Phandelve Todayr 4 PM PT

I'm scared that my group will try various method to gain lots of inspiration points. I fully intend to label any such attempt as "Fonzi schemes."

Really enjoy this thread and seeing all the rooms. Thought I might share my game room with you guys. I just moved in to a new house and am still working on the setup.....key feature is the game closet with the secret door! My Gaming Group, The Mind's Eye Secret Gaming Society has christened the...

    Trophy for Roleplaying...with picture!

The Idol is a miniature from Otherworld Miniatures, who make really cool old school minis. He bought a trophy base at a local hobby shop and ordered the plaque from a place online. It says "Mind's Eye Society Player of the Night."...

    Trophy for Roleplaying...with picture!

On occasion in the past, my group has voted on a Roleplayer of the Night award....each voting for the best roleplayer or coolest moment of the session by secret ballot. The reward was usually either a reroll or a small amount of xp. Last Sunday, we wrapped up a two year run at Pathfinder's...

Picked up the Red Box today!

I picked up the Red Box today at my FLGS (They are a premier store.) My group has been more of a Pathfinder group lately, but I think the Red Box is a really interesting product. As far as marketing to nostalgic old D&Ders, this looks like a nice product to me. The Player's Book, as you may...

    Ravenloft Boardgame?

Just to chime in........I played in a demo at GenCon on Friday Night. 4 of us played a game in just under 1 1/2 hour, which included us learning the rules. Closest comparison for me was definitely Warhammer Quest. Seems like lots of fun. I've already preordered!

    Warhammer 40k: Best "Encyclopedia" Book?

If you can hold out a few months, you might find some of this info in the new RPG set in the background that Fantasy Flight is producing. Fantasy Flight Games [Deathwatch] - Leading publisher of board, card, and roleplaying games.

Guess Who I saw at my Local Target Store Today?

I've been with this group for almost 15 years and the fund was part of the group when I started. Puns cost a dime for years, but to account for inflation, we voted to raise the cost to a quarter a few years ago.

Guess Who I saw at my Local Target Store Today?

Acerak, that's who! My group chips in for gaming stuff into our "Pun Fund", mostly fines for bad jokes and puns. I picked this up for the fund receptacle. Anyone else raid the Halloween Aisle for gaming stuff?

D&D implicated as possible cause in assault case.

Clearly, D&D isn't the only game causing trouble in their area. Man assaults family when UNO game goes bad, police say - Salt Lake Tribune

    Small World

I just picked up Small World yesterday. Looks like a blast! Anyone try it with kids? I was hoping my six your old would like it, but I don't think she's quite ready. It lists for 8 and up.
