How to manage all the conditions and effects?

If you are used to 4E the 13th Age conditions are a bit confusing since stuff with the same name has different effects. It's not a big deal though if you have the reference handy for the first few sessions. Vulnerable, dazed and ongoing damage are the common ones, the rest are used quite sparingly.

#RPGaDAY Day 31: What do you anticipate most for gaming in 2018?

Well, I just released my expansion book (Dark Pacts & Ancient Secrets: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/m/product/219473), the first issue of the Escalation fanzine came out (https://escalationfanzine.blogspot.jp/), Bestiary 2 just shipped to Kickstarter backers and everyone is waiting for 13th Age...

Where do you go to discuss 13th Age?

There's not much buzz here on enworld-but there's a reasonably active Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/668357446642499 The G+ group doesn't have much traffic, but most of the key community people are active there, including Rob Heinsoo and Jonathan Tweet.

    13th age help

Sneak attack AND double melee attack is probably a bit much. If you allow it, limit sneak attack to 1/round and make it cost a talent. The value of Trapfinding depends on the campaign. If you plan on throwing tons of trap-filled dungeons at them, It might be worth a talent, otherwise you can...

    13th age help

I've seen several dozens of characters in play, and the most handy backgrounds are always those that just represent what your character has learned. If you don't have a great idea, just default to... (1) How / where has your character grown up? What did he/she do until he/she became an adult...

[13th Age] Playtesters wanted for six new classes: Abomination, Fateweaver, Psion, Savage, Swordmage, Warlock

I haven't shown off any of my commissioned artwork yet, so here's a psion: The doc is making good progress, and I'm now at the stage where I feel like I can forward this to the editor and later the layouter, while keeping the door open for late stage fixes for things that come up in playtest...

[13th Age] Playtesters wanted for six new classes: Abomination, Fateweaver, Psion, Savage, Swordmage, Warlock

I am currently writing an expansion book for 13th Age, with six new classes. The writeups are fairly close to final, but I am looking for more playtesters to make sure they are perfect. Here is the playtest file...

[13th Age] The Big Pile of Everything I've Written for 13th Age so far!

    - A summoned Aeon does not roll its own initiative. The initiative modifier is for the unlikely case where an Aeon is in a battle but it hasn't been summoned. - The Summon Elemental talent should have "close quarters, daily" in the entry but the text is missing. I'll fix that in the next...

[13th Age] The Big Pile of Everything I've Written for 13th Age so far!

You can summon multiple Aeons at once, but controlling each one requires a standard action. So you leave at least one Aeon uncontrolled, which is not a good idea. Your Aeons are like daily spells. Use them in the big battles. You learn the bonded spell when you bond with the Aeon. You can use it...

    Drowning in 13th Age

I think your suggestion is fine. The save here represents that the PC somehow manages to get his head above water to catch a breath. Apart from that, drowning shouldn't be too bad initially (while of course deadly in the long run). Trained apnoe divers can hold their breath for over a minute...

[13th Age] The Big Pile of Everything I've Written for 13th Age so far!

Since my original post is already 2 years old and I've written a ton of stuff since then, I've updated my original post. There's 5 (!) new classes and a ton of material for all (!) existing classes. More to come. Enjoy and good gaming!

[13th Age] The Big Pile of Everything I've Written for 13th Age so far!

    1) On paper, the Bladesinger is a support class. As you notice, most of the bladesinger melodies are designed as aura buffs for the entire party. In that sense, the closest class is the 3E marshall (in case anyone remembers that one). In 13th Age, the closest class is the bard, in the sense that...

    Dexterity-Based Fighter in 13th Age?

It applies to all maneuvers and strikes are a type of maneuver so yes.

    Dexterity-Based Fighter in 13th Age?

If homebrew is an option, I can recommend this Tome of Battle conversion for 13th Age. If you choose Swordsage, your attack and damage are based on Dexterity. http://13thage.org/index.php/classes/467-master-of-nine
