Perhaps replacing the trouble encounter with a Haunt might prove more palatable a conclusion? This way the PC's can defeat said encounter and learn that there is still more than can be done to alleviate the sad state of affairs that exist in this location?
Since the Haunting of Harrowstone &...
I really think that among the condition cards should have been Affliction cards as well; Diseased, Poisoned, & Cursed.
As useful as it is to have the card tell you what you need to know about a condition and have it serve as a reminder you are penalized it makes perfect sense to have similar...
JD, how did your players take to the 5 buff rule? I'm finishing the STAP now and am prepping Curse of the Crimson Throne and floate the idea of a buff limit to one of my players who was looking at an abyssal sorcerer and he absolutely hated the idea (I had originally thought 3 buffs). It...
And Mage Slayer (and it's ilk) is definitely one of Kraft's Cheesiest feats!
IMC MS only works on Spellcasters as defined in the PHB. It doesn't effect creatures with SLA's, so Rakshasas and Dragons are fair game, but most demons are not.
Hmmm... Aboleth's are certainly Rune users, maybe our villain is a long lost ally of Alaznist??? I definitely enjoyed the Styes though I mixed it in with Prince of Redhand for my own homebrew Seafaring campaign.
Using this to level the Party up JD?
Lords of Light! All that reading and the end is mere days away from being revealed!!!
I've got to get back to writing my STAP story hour now! Starting COBI this weekend.
I think the Goliath Barbarian/Fighter in my group will surpass TC in terms of sheer damage, but only to one target at a time. After finishing my modified Tides of Dread I'm combining LD and CoBI together (LD will be a side trek at best).
At ECL 13 Deek Blackhammer has a 34 strength while...
A Factol's Plea...
Just before Anti-peak that question was answered as the wiry Duklar, his new friend Yark, and Horny the Minotaur arrived. Even though the hour was very late the assembled members of the Sword were led up to the Speaker’s Podium where Factol Darius awaited them. The Factol...
OK hopefully the confusion between two similar threads doesn't muck up my story! I'm reposting Swords against the Savage Tide here because I was having trouble editing my long posts in the other thread.
In this campaign I'm having my group resurrect their old 2nd ed Planescape band of...
Session #2 of Here There Be Monsters
Ooze and Rot!
Though they had planned on resting for the night in the dark mountain pass, several members of the Sword argued to push on even though many were obviously fatigued. Reaching Farshore before the Tanar'ri attacked was their singular goal. Even...
That's just brutal... Minotaurs and Goliath's can serve up some serious butt whipping! My group is through the first 2 sessions of our campaign and already our Barbarian goliath dropped a T-Rex with a 148 point Crit with his Large Maul. Our resident Minotaur might not dish damage like TC but...
In this campaign I'm having my group resurrect their old 2nd ed Planescape band of fiendslayers and sending through Dungeon's Savage Tide Adventure Path as a classic Planescape style campaign. Starting at 10th level I'll obviously have to scale some parts of it as I want to begin with Here...
