First of all take a look at the Conjurer Specialist Variant from Unearthed Arcana/SRD. That solves the 1 round casting time problem.
If you are human and want to invest into social skills, you might want to take the Able Learner Feat rom Races of Destiny.
And it's never wrong to check out...
The wording is pretty bad, but I read it as using the swift action to cast updraft and gain height. IMHO you spend the rest of your turn descending, reaching the ground at the end of your turn. But that's just my guess.
Another (house)ruling might be to use feather fall for the descending part.
Updraft is a fast and easy way to reach high spots, like the roof of a tower, though somewhat limited due to only 5 feet of lateral movement.
Clerics and druids are no great tumblers and could use the spell for escape - either by having fly speed und staying up there, or by sending a nice flame...
Add Stalwart Sorcerer from Complete Mage for even more fun (and hitpoints).
You might have to ask your DM though, as Stalwart Sorcerer comes for free for Battle Sorcerers if you don't play high level. SS reduces number of spells known of the highest level by 1, min 1. But because of BS you...
Reaping Mauler (Complete Warrior) is a grapple specialist and IMHO fits your character theme.
Tome of Battle has feat that increases unarmed strike damage on a level base (or adds 4 to your effective monk levels regarding unarmed strike damage, if you have monk levels).
That build has a BAB of +5 (1 from fighter, 1 from barbarian, 3 from scout), so there's no Two Weapon Pounce.
But i can't see anything preventing you from taking and using TWP as soon as you have +6 BAB.
Given the factotum's focus on skills human seems to be the obvious choice. You can't have enough skill points.
And there is a feat on the WotC pages (Link ), that grants extra inspiration points. Makes a fine choice for the human bonus feat.
