Sorry, I'm still getting used to 5th edition parlance! I started with 4th edition. So it would be Charisma (Persuasion) and Charisma (Performance) checks.

Here's a random idea: a character not wearing a helmet gets a +2 bonus to Diplomacy and Performance checks, but can be dealt a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.

Haldor stumbles to his feet, offers a quick thanks to Liam, then casts control flames as much as possible to put out the fire. He has a grim look on his face, clearly blaming himself for the damage.

Haldor shouts as the arrow strikes him, and suddenly the ground is rising to meet him. His vision goes red, and the sounds around him go mute. He struggles to regain consciousness. [roll0]

Confident his allies can overcome the remaining goblins and wolf, Haldor uses his control over fire to put out the flames he created.
