Round 3.2 and 4.1

OOC: Going to auto Garrett for now. He Dodges for now.

Garrett stayed near Curdy, protecting the civilian, though the big human boy towered over him with a hand axe ready.

Curdy, too, awaited any attack, his broad back to the halfling as they circled, watching the goblins and wolves.

The goblin engulfed in the grassfire fell over, the scent of burning flesh wafting in the night wind around the heroes as the fire spread.

Seeing his companions down, and both he and his wolf severely wounded, the last remaining goblin takes a parting shot at Haldor, the closest enemy he can see before turning and fleeing into the tall grass and darkness. The arrow catches the dwarf in the shoulder, downing the sorceror.

OOC: End of Round 3. Coriana’s and Haldor’s actions were negated by events on the goblin’s turn, before they acted, and Theremin’s would have been unnecessary. I will let them revise their actions. We are still in initiative since Haldor needs to make death saves and we have a grass fire in the area.

Everyone gets 50 XP.

Haldor shouts as the arrow strikes him, and suddenly the ground is rising to meet him. His vision goes red, and the sounds around him go mute. He struggles to regain consciousness.

Liam moves to Haldor quickly, placing a hand on him.

"I've got ya, partner. Hold still."

Reaching into himself, he drew on his celestial nature, flowing life into the dwarf.

OOC: Action: Healing Hands (Aasimar trait, heals a number of hit points equal to my level once per day.). Heals 1hp.

Seeing that magic healing was on the way Mindra foregoes pulling out her healing kit and instead sheathes her daggers and retrieves her shortbow. Looking at the fleeing goblin Mindra curses about it getting away, but otherwise remains on alert for any more threats that might manifest from the dark.

OOC: Well four of us are hurt. Two of us pretty seriously. I don't believe we have much in the way of healing, and as much as I would hate to delay while the girl is being held captive, should we consider at least a short rest?

Mindra is seriously torn. She would like to continue, but she knows it doesn't make sense to push on if we are not capable of helping once we get to the girl.

Round 5

Coriana tries to stabilize Haldor, but the dwarf continues bleeding out, slipping ever closer to the death that should have claimed him centuries ago. Theremin looks on helplessly, but Liam hurries up, calling upon his angelic heritage, and at least pulls the dwarf away from the brink and back to consciousness.

The grassfire, however, continues to spread, growing closer to Garrett.

Curdy looks to the others. “We need to put this fire out,” he said, clearly torn between wanting to rescue his love and delaying. “Are you too hurt to continue?” the large young man asks. “The Timberhand is not far from here,” he let them know.

Curdy looks to the others. “We need to put this fire out,” he said, clearly torn between wanting to rescue his love and delaying. “Are you too hurt to continue?” the large young man asks. “The Timberhand is not far from here,” he let them know.]

"Alas, baravery at this point would be misplaced, at least for me. One scratch, and I will meet with my ancestors. This would definitely be bad for my children; my future ones I mean, and of course, those that I don't know about!"
Theremin said this in jest, but it is obvious that the bard is badly injured.

OOC: I vote for a short rest. with 1/10 hp, and no potential for healing, Theremin is too vulnerable

Mindra slings her bow and pulls her bedroll from her pack. Rushing over to the fire she uses her blankets to try to smother the fire. She obviously won't be able to get all of it at the same time, but she can try to work her way around the edge as she goes.

"I'm going to need some help with this!" Mindra calls to the others.

As she works Mindra throws her two copper into the rest discussion. "I'm not as hurt as some, but the arrow wound I took could use some treatment. I could continue, but I would not be fighting at my full ability.

"As for the girl... If it is as we suspect and there is some kind of twisted wedding planned, then there might be some time to tend to our injuries before we go, but we definitely shouldn't dally."

Haldor stumbles to his feet, offers a quick thanks to Liam, then casts control flames as much as possible to put out the fire. He has a grim look on his face, clearly blaming himself for the damage.
