Warlord- Leaf on the Wind and OAs

Swapping places is under the forced movement section. It just is on the next page from where the section starts :) You slide the target into your square, then shift into the square they vacated. So while the swapping movement doesn't normally provoke OAs, it is important to note that the...

Ochre Jelly Split + Healing surge

Page 291 in the PHB for clarification on the "Who has Second Wind?". It's a PC only action unless noted in the monster's or NPC's stat block.

    First Strike vs. Alertness

The rogue gets combat advantage due to First Strike. Alertness only negates CA from surprise, not all CA during surprise rounds. Not sure if this was an intent change or just a clarification. Check out this page for the update that makes this clear: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/updates

Wizards site is down...a good sign, or just a first strike by Orcus?

Seems (semi-)up to me. Mostly changed the background and there's a big old new D&D Insider section on the left hand menu. Also just stops working for long periods of time randomly. D&D insider thing seems to just be informational at the moment.

    Half-Elf vagueness -Dilettante Abuse?

This problem is solved by banning any at-will class powers greater than level 1. >_>

    Balancing Rituals without Gold

Residuum. Make most "cash" rewards in components that can work in any ritual. This doesn't have to be residuum per se, but rather a flavorful variety of bits that they can use in rituals instead of buying specific components from markets. Probably a good idea to remove the cost of the...

    Criticals and Magic Weapons

All dice are maximized when you roll a crit EXCEPT for the dice you got because it was a crit. :)

D&D 4E Is it just me, or do damaging effects suck in 4E?

Welp, I've got nothing. 15 per at-will, 25 per encounter. Depending on, like, EVERYTHING.

D&D 4E Is it just me, or do damaging effects suck in 4E?

Well, assuming that you spend an AP and get... 5 crits in a row and roll max damage on all your crit dice... A level 19 ranger can do about 300 damage in one round. Mind, that's something like a 1 in 3.2 million chance for the 5 crits, much less maxing all the damage dice. :) Oh, and they have...

    Glaring PDF errors?

Wait, what? 12 is the paragon path utility, isn't it?

    Potential Wizard Combo

Teleportation keyword on the gate spell. I'd say that'd mean it'd qualify for the standard rules of teleportation including that the port to spot be on a solid surface. The rules of the gate say nothing about violating this fundamental rule of teleportation, so they have no specific that trumps...

D&D 4E Is it just me, or do damaging effects suck in 4E?

Still a far cry from a 3 hour combat. However, I'm still slightly worried that Solos will tend to get "grindy" even if they are capped at about 15 rounds or so.

D&D 4E Is it just me, or do damaging effects suck in 4E?

A party of 5 level 19 characters will tend closer to 100-200 damage each round. Even if all 5 characters just plink the beholder with an at-will in a round, that's still about 75 damage or so. If the players just unload their single target dailies round after round, said beholder will probably...

    They ruined run!!

Because only granting combat advantage wasn't enough to discourage ranged attackers from using it almost as a normal movement mode?
