Eberron Cover Art

Ah, but they would indeed. It's part of that whole "pulp noir" thing they've been pushing about the setting. Gag.

Here, gag on a larger version, if you like.

But what the hell is that lying across the b/w drawing?
Someone sneazed at the wrong time. :p

Lame cover. It seems to achieve both a 'bland' and 'aesthetically unpleasing' effect at the same time. Those are just terrible colors

The best translation for the Dwarven word that describes the feeling I get from that cover;

I think WOTC's process in designing the cover of Eberron was:

STEP 1: Seashells
STEP 2: Snot Covered Intestines
STEP 3: ????
STEP 4: PROFITS

It seems I'm alone here, but I quite like the design. I think the use of black & white in conjunction with colour works fine, and gives a distinctive look. I'd be happy with this as a cover even if they don't change it.

Cheers

You can honestly say you like that cover better than the blue cover of the teaser material!? :eek:

In my mind- It will stand out from all of the other covers on a rack / shelf when set cover out. Sometimes it is not about pretty but being different that grabs the buyer's eye.

I have seen much worse.

Not better, but I like it as much. I like the blue colour better, but I like the recessed black and white drawings on this new one.

Sometimes I like colour photos, sometimes I like monochrome ones. My favourite illustrations in the DMG and PHB are the monochrome ones that open each chapter (and end up half obscured by text. Grrrr!)

Cheers
