I'm all about the Scarlet Corsair.

She may be a butterface, but beggars can't be choosers.

ps. Where the hell is THIS picture?

Too true!

I'd love to see that image side-by-side with the female drow from the 3.5 MM (the best drow I've ever seen!).

After looking over those selections, it's now become crystal clear that, while we have many great artists, Wayne Reynolds is the best D&D artist of this era.

Quite a few of them caught my attention. Alot of them did not have any mood, at least to my eye. For a calendar, I like the images to evoke something, not just showing of a character or a piece of equipment.

I was split between 'Magic of Faerun', 'Frost Mountain', and contrary to my previous statement 'Scarlet Corsair'. In the end, I went with 'Magic of Faerun'.

I agree with Claudio, where is the cover of Draconmicon ? Love Todd Lockwood's work.

none of the above.

the only one i'd almost be tempted to vote for is the DMG 2. but the efreet isn't quite drawn correctly.

Neither did I but I tried very hard to find a favorite. Maybe I'm just stuck in the traditional paintings of Elmore and Easley.

Ya strange that Todd Lockwood was completely locked out. The calender competition is missing some of D&D's best art. Must be some type of contractual/business snag.

There's so much good stuff in there, I had a hard time picking just one. I wish we could vote for 12.

My favorites were "Master of Chains", "Players Guide to Faerun", Targete's "Darkwell" & "Elminster's Daughter", plus anything and everything by Wayne Reynolds.

In the end I voted for Reynolds' "Destroying an Artifact".

With so many options already, maybe they just couldn't include that many. Maybe if they had had a tiered vote, like a competition, to find the best 12.

I was quite irritated that any of the longer pictures were tiny when you clicked on them. Underdark, the Waterdeep -CoS, Magic of Faerun, Elminster's Daughter, etc.

A calendar has a picture up for a month, so it has to be interesting in a lot of ways to me. I liked lots of the pictures, and could only instantly exclude a few for my tastes, but in the end, I liked the more panoramic view pictures like the ones I mentioned. Though I feel the underdark is overplayed, I really liked how in Underdark, the artist drew my eye to the party with the lighting, but kept the majority of the picture on the subject, with lots of little details. ok REALLY little details since WOTC didn't let you see the image larger!

Now I did like others a lot, such as Destroying and Artifact and the Cult of Tiamat, etc. but I just decided that they would not last me the month as well as some others.
