Alethia Sadinel is a ranger 6/cleric 7 of Selune as well as being an Aasimar. She is a striking young woman, with piercing gray eyes that tend to change shade depending on the light and on her mood. Her waist length auburn hair is normally braided. She normally favors loose, comfortable, well-made clothing. She favors black clothing piped with silver and blue accents. Her holy symbol is actually a silver ring embossed with Selune's sign.

BACKGROUND
[sblock]Alethia was found as a small child of five in a ruined temple dedicated to Selune by Narfel nomads. Surrounding her were Shar cultists, quite bloodily dead. She was the only survivor, obviously some sort of intended sacrifice to desecrate the ancient temple. They could not understand how a small child could survive, perhaps a band of heroes had dispached the cultists or even Selune herself had intervened. They could not know.
The nomads took the child in, training her in the ways of the ranger before sending her on her way at the age of 15. Alethia wandered for many years, taking on many evils eventually becoming a priestess of Selune as well, without realizing what was riding silently in her, subtly guiding her path.
A demon. A creature of utter darkness had been present during the botched ceremony, imprisoned for ages within the temple altar. The cultists had wanted to harness his power to increase Shar's dominance over the land, but they had failed to realize that during those ages, the demon had slowly began to change, turning away from his evil ways and becoming lawful good. The spell failed and the demon sort of escaped.
But he was no longer corporeal. His only chance at true redemption was clear. Protect and guide the innocent aasimar, descendant of the very Solar that had imprisoned him. But it had to be a subtle guidance. He could not take her over, save in instances of extreme peril and even then, it had to be a last option.
The demon is highly protective and very fond of the young woman and tends to get very cranky when she is hurt, knocked unconscious and otherwise incapacitated. It doesn't happen often, but when he does manifest, there isn't much left of the poor sod who hurt his ward/host. The demon himself is a very powerful creature, perhaps along the lines of a Balor. He might have even been one when he was corporeal and evil. No one really knows as none have lived to tell what he was and Alethia certainly doesn't remember.
For the most part, Alethia isn't aware that she is possessed. The demon is subtle, giving her free will, letting her make her own mistakes, only providing little nudges when she falls off track and occasionally interjecting a sarcastic comment. The demon keeps a very low profile.
Due to the nature of the possesion, Alethia registers as both Chaotic good with a lacing of evil (due to the outsider nature of the demon) in her aura. She dismisses it as a leftover from nearly being sacrificed to a demon as a child or from being exposed to a variety of evil spells during her long career of hunting necromancers and the like. Or as she likes to put it 'I stepped on a nail. A very rusty and nasty nail."[/sblock]
