Carry Cases?

Doom3524

Anyone know where I can get a carry case for all my books and other items? I hate the idea of getting a small suitcase for them since that has no ability to organize my stuff inside. I have many books that I carry around, as well as my dice case and all of my other things that go along. I know a while back I saw them somewhere online, but I cannot remember where, the old milk crate is getting a little tedious and small. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats pretty nice! Do they have them bigger do you know? I carry about 25 books with me (yes I use them all, maybe not all in 1 session, but you never know what you need). This looks good though for when I have less to take around.

LOL..

I use the exact same case for my paintball marker. Except I bought some foam, cut it out to fit my marker, and then glued it to the inside.

You can find them in the tool dept. of home dept. For 20 bucks it might not be a bad idea to pick up 2 and then use both if you have extra books to carry.

They come in red, grey, and black and have a nice padded lining on the inside. They also come with some dividers so you can block off sections to fit whatever you're carrying.

You might want to go to a dept. store and look at some luggage. The wheeled laptops carriers that people use at my work have a good amount of space in them. Plus you don't have to carry them, you can just wheel them along.

Great photo. I see that your cat has the same modeling instincts as mine, which manages to end up in 80% of all photos taken in or around my house.

Multi-Purpose! I love it lol. I was actually thinking about it, and 2 would be a good idea. I think I will swing by Target later and see if they have any good rolling cases (more what I was looking for), but if not I will probably grab 2 of these. The dividers sound like a great bonus to these, as well as the places on the top for pencils and markers.

Those are nice, but WAY out of my price range. I like the second one (the rolling box)

I usually use a canvas L.L. Bean tote bag which I "borrowed" from my father. I think this is it, though there's no monogramming and the trim is red. I call it my bean bag. :) (I never claimed to be funny. Well, not at ENWorld, at least)

I'm always looking for good containers, though. I picked up a bunch of really, really cheap locking-top plastic storage containers at staples for my minis. They do the job, but I got what I paid for.

When I get some spare change, I'm wanting to pick up one of these. In case the link gets broken (not sure how link-friendly Staples's website is), it's the "Staples® Expanding Folding Crate on Wheels" which is $23 and has a handle. I'm a bit worried about its capacity, though, I usually have a TON of stuff... The bean bag is crammed to capacity, my shoulder bag has stuff in it, and I've usually got assorted grocery bags filled with munchies and other stuff that didn't fit in the bean bag.

For a while, I was running games for the local RPGA, which meant going mobile with my gaming materials. I found a rolling tool box at Wal-Mart that worked well for a while. It was about $20, though I don't know if that is a normal price. The tool box is basically two open boxes that stack on top of one another and then attach with clamping handles. There is a tray for small tools that sits in the top box. (I use that for pens, initiative cards, and props.) There's a little pull-out drawer sized for screws and such, which I never use, but could hold dice. On the very top there are two small container-sized boxes with snapping lids that are perfectly sized for a couple of decks of cards or a dice bag. There is a handle for lifting and an long pull out handle for pulling it along behind you as it rolls.

Now, I will say that there are two problems with this box. The first is that the handle is too short to roll comfortably. (I'm 6'2".) The other is that over the past couple of years, the sides of the bottom case have warped a bit, so it's a pain to get it to snap back together after I'm done. However, I have seen some more sturdy models at Home Depot and Wal-Mart that were a little more. The ones at Office Depot tend to be overpriced, in my opinion.
