There is no spoons. And there is no Heinsoo, either. We all know that in 4e, spoons and Heinsoo have been replaced by quicker, simpler, funnier mechanisms, aka trampolines.

I was promised that 4e would be a simpler game. I interpret this to mean that it must be simpler in every possible way, regardless of effect on gameplay. "Rob Heinsoo" has 11 characters, counting the space between "Rob" and "Heinsoo." I insist that unless WOTC reduces his name to RH, or perhaps just R, they are breaking their blood oath.

We can't conclude anything at this point because Rob Heinsoo's name may be revised before final printing. Perhaps if we complain loud enough, the name "Rob Heinsoo" will be revised like the Dragon Tail Strike. I nominate "John Doe" as a replacement name that is less person-specific and more adaptable to my campaign.

Rob Heinsoo is just another way for WotC to tighten up their IP and screw the little guy.

That's why I'm making an OGL version called Hob Reinsoo.

What this discussion lacks is an acknowledgement of the opportunity cost that Rob Heinsoo represents.

I just want the mechanics. Why must they keep giving us these fluff names and not tell us in intricate detail how they work. For example, how tall is Rob? What is his favorite food? Does he prefer long walks on the beach or is he more of a movie guy? Inquiring minds what to know!!
