I've received numerous e-mails and phone calls, all expressing concern that releasing an adventure written by Kevin "Piratecat" Kulp may expose previously-kind DMs to his evil tactics.
Chief among the concerns was his famous use of the "baby-shield" technique employed by certain villains in his storyhour (which, apparently, is updated with some frequency).
Without providing spoiler information, I just wanted to reassure the EN World community that these so-called "baby-shields" DO NOT make an appearance in the adventure Of Sound Mind , which is, in fact, the very first psionics adventure available from your local gamestore for 3rd Edition.
Having said that, I'm afraid that I must confirm a rumor about another one of our products.
Counter Collection II , which features art by Claudio "Klaus" Pozas DOES feature a bunch of crazy gnome counters. In fact, if we hadn't caught the mistake at the proof stage, the collection would have consisted of 450 different gnome counters, each with their own prestige class. We did manage to scale this back in time.
If anyone has any further concerns about crazy Board members and their strange fixations with respect to a future Fiery Dragon release, please e-mail me and I'll be happy to discuss it further.
Oh yeah, Monte Cook's adventure, Queen of Lies will kill characters. C'mon - you didn't see that coming? Well, I guess I could have said that it was TOP SECRET.
