Would those have to be mw housecats first?

I don't even want to know what skill you'd roll against to determine MW status. I'm just sure it's not Craft (Cats) :D

I don't know what's more disturbing, this thread or how hard I'm laughing at it. Bah, we'll just say 'both' and make sure it's covered.

Well, baby tower shields have got to work a lot better than those 1st level commoner halfling shieldsMy evil NPC's tried against my group.

My group just threw a bunch of common housecats on 'em, and that was the end of that.

ROFLMAO! A great way to mix old threads with new!

Salutations,

Personally, I am glad no baby shields will be in OSM.

Frankly- they are broken and I am not giving my players a chance to get ahold of them.

I applaud Fiery Dragon for upholding a stand against power-gaming!

Number47, I love your Pixie bracer idea--sheer GENIUS! I would love to buy a Rat Bastard GMs handbook...I'm trying to make things harder for my PCs now--the first part of my plan to improve my DMing. (Though i've made it pretty hard for them considering that through my carelessness this 3rd level party has no magic items and they're in the Forgotten Realms...LOL)

I hope none of my players see this thread...they'll probably start asking if they can have masterwork animals...

And I think the process for crafting a masterwork cat is probably best illustrated in Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the old woman is slamming the cat against a wall repeatedly--it's a special toughening process after which they tempered like fine swords.

This reminds me of the "chicken shield" defense I've heard some low level characters use to guard against the sleep spell: going into battle with several chickens hanging from a harness on your chest and back...

There might not be any baby-shields, but I heard there were plenty of villains who were also nursing mothers. . .

Of course, even though they are evil villains, they're still good mothers and keep their kids on regular feeding schedules regardless of what the heroes are doing.

Profession (God) check, DC 11 for the cat and 20 for the masterwork component.

Surely it should be Profession (Musical) to masterwork Cats. Although Andrew Lloyd Webber failed so the DC would have to astromonical!
