The assassin deftly dodges Doren's swipe, but he's distracted long enough for Baern to blast him with radiant light. He staggers for a moment, but then, with a smirk, the changeling's face morphs into an ugly, bruised visage - the bloody, tear-stained face of a slum-child, but his voice is the same low, congested mutter of the assassin.

"Aw, please don't hurt me! I'm just a poor lad from the city, I am!"

As Torath smashes his weapon into the plant creature, it squeals with pain, but no blood comes out. The monster is a resilient creature.

Queen Springseer shouts a word of command that resounds throughout the grove.

"My friends, be strong!"

Squeal, Warforged barbarian 30/43hp, 18AC, 19Fort, 17Ref, 15Will

Squeal hisses in annoyance at the plant creature continually evading it's blows and shifts around to find a better angle of attack. A savage flurry of blows drives the creature back and Squeal follows up, keeping the pressure on it.

"Die you walking bush" Squeal cries out in rage.

Thorn quickly moves to interpose herself between the assassin and the queen again, pushing in beside Doren with a quick jab of her blade to try to take advantage of her earlier feint. Sadly, the attack is perhaps a bit TOO quick, and falls short of its target.

(Rolled a freaking 4, even with CA that's only a 16...seriously, is ANYONE rolling decently this fight?! Oh, and putting another shroud on the assassin.)

The assassin's face changes again - this time into a vision of the Queen herself, but instead of Springseer's beautiful emerald eyes, only hollow, black pits remain. He laughs, and with a mocking flicker of enmity in his voice, he shouts to his hulking green companions.

"Charge! Get the queen! Now!"

The plant creature suddenly ignore the combat they were in and move in to attack the queen.

[sblock=Opportunity Attacks]Baern and Torath may make opportunity attacks against Plant Creature 1.

Squeal may make an opportunity attack against Plant Creature 2.

Please include rolls for these in your combat posts.[/sblock]

The first creature swings at the queen with a massive, warped, wooden claw, but his arm is held back at the last moment by Torath's divine challenge.

[sblock=Torath]Please let me know how much damage the enemy takes for violating your mark.[/sblock]

The second creature is a bit luckier, and manages to land a glancing blow on the queen, which nonetheless staggers her.

The assassin, seizing a chance to finish his mission, bolts away from Doren and Thorn, doing his best to shrug off their blows.

[sblock=Opportunity Attacks]Thorn and Doren may make opportunity attacks against the assassin.[/sblock]

The assassin slams his spear into the queen's chest, dealing massive damage. Springseer falls to her knees, bloodied, her chest heaving. A spray of blood erupts from the wound, and the assassin withdraws his spear.

"Time to finish the job, your queenliness."

Squeal is surprised by the sudden attack by the plant creature, missing as the creature moves away.

Enraged, squeal moves directly to the assassin, emitting a high pitched shriek, the sound of a rusted, unoiled, hinge being wrenched open and unleashes a flurry of blows against the assassin. The sheer number of attacks blurring past the assassin's defenses.

A burst of follow up attacks against the assassin and a plant creature seem to have no effect.

[Sblock=Actions]
Attack of Opportunity, Natural 1
Move to E8
Standard: Bloodhunt Rage vs Assassin 15vs Ac, 25 Damage on hit, 12 on miss
Action Point: Whirling Rend vs Assassin 13 vs Reflex
Apparently Invisible Castle hates squeal :.-(
