Doren HP: 6/36 Defenses: AC: 18 / Fort: 15 / Refl: 14 / Will: 18

Doren startles to life once more, his eyes opening wide as he takes another deep life giving breath.

He looks upon Baern over him tending him as he smiles softly, his eyes glowing with awe and wonder.

"He was so handsome Baern... I saw him... Blackmoor he was so...." and it was then that Doren remembered his mission and his objective. The queen Baern!? Is she safe?!" Doren barked as he tried to get to his feet.

Queen Springseer's wounds close, and she rises to her feet.

"Thank you, priest."

The Queen looks on thankfully as these heroes band together to protect her. Her eyes turn to Thorn and Torath!

Thorn gives Squeal a wry look as the warforged inexplicably moves away, depriving her of his shadow to move through. "That was the plan, yes..." she murmurs. Fortunately, the assassin is not so far away that she can't get to him on foot.

She charges over to the assassin, raising her dagger to attack. An instant before reaching him, her body twists unnaturally though as she draws on her shapechanging powers to try to throw her target off-guard! The shadows of herself, her target, and the trees all seem to rise up and claw at the assassin as Thorn makes her strike!

(Move to I11, not charge...that was just flavor text. Minor to use Changeling Trick. Bluff check: 29 (Roll Lookup) vs his Passive Insight to gain Combat Advantage until the end of my next turn. Free action to put another shroud on him. Standard action to use Shadow Storm attack: 15 to hit vs AC. Roll Lookup )

(Damnit. At least I can try again next turn. :))

Parrying the plant beast as it strikes out. Torath takes a quick look about and sees that the queen is still o.k., but Doren is still hurt from his couragous defense of her. Squeal has a plant engaged and Thorn is stalkng her prey alone. Urgh! Got to help. He thinks feinting an over hand blow, and bring his enchanted blade across the creatures middle at the last second. With the blow his holy symbol flares, the quick flash drawing the creatures attention as it somehow knows the paladin has marked it for destruction.

The plant creatures, acting in unison, attack their respective targets. Torath's heavy armor repels the monster's attack, while Squeal nimbly dodges out of the way.

The assassin, cornered by Thorn, cunningly jabs her with his spear, wounding her. He then takes that moment of opportunity and dashes farther upfield in order to gain a clear line of fire to the queen. The assassin scoffs.

"You're all mine, m'lady. The Cloak will claim your life yet!"

"That's IT.... I'm done playing around with this assassin!" Doren barks as he lumbers over still slightly wounded with mace in hand and shield held high... "You want the queen, you will go through myself and Blackmoor to get her you spineless cod!" Doren adds with flare and angry tone as he takes a swing at the assassin

With an awarness of what is happening on the battlefield, Torath knows he must vanquish this creature and help protect the queen. "Blackmoor's strength to me," he grunts a little prayer. "Adele's wisdom, Ayur's knowledge, Blackmoor's strength, and Munsu's guile. I call on The Four to help strike my adversary true!" With that the holy warrior himself begins to glow in a soft white aura. And he swings hard at the plant like creature.
