Pok removes his hand and attempts a breath, choking blackness overwhelms the small gnome, the vile death liquid washes his corner blinding his view and wilting his resolve.

No. No. No. says the gnome, panicked and trapped, chemicals pour into Pok's small body. Fight or flight takes hold of the wizard completely, and with seemingly no-where to go, his body chooses fight.

Words pour out of Pok's mouth, Darkness is supposed to be a safe place! for the cultist, it was as if the darkness had suddenly turned on him, and began to force itself back inside of him. The dark miasma washed through his ears, eyes, nose, his very pores were being filled with the evil.

For Pok, it felt like freedom, as he slipped into the corner to nurse his wounds. Stilling his breath to long slow patterns, the gnome listened intently for approaching cultists.

OK, bad news. Computer HD crashed at work. Lost my Maptools files as they're not backed up due to corporate policy...the battle was pretty close to complete anyways, so let's say the ballistas are defeated by the heroes...I should be fine going forward, but it's not worth the time recreatings for two enemies...[/sblock]

Grab two of the images here with NPCs on different squares, use MS Paint to cut each unoccupied square from one image to an occupied square of the other, it takes 5 minutes.

If you want, I'll do it for you tonight and send you the file.

Sheeva's blast of lightning drops the enemy over River and the other cultist drops from Rumbum's axe and Pok's magical assault.

The ballistas continue their rain of bolts, this time more effective, Pok falls under their assault.

"Faell. See if you can wake up River. I'll cover you. Sheeva says as darkness decends. Suddenly, a thunderous blast of wind and thunder occurs and people can hear the Ballistas tumbling down the stairs.

"On it!" Even as he's moving, the young Drow wonders, What the hells am I gonna do for him? Well, there's no one left . . . sorry my friend, it's me or no one.

He kneels at the healer's side and goes to work. You might be better off with no one . . .

Is this the best thing I can do? Here's one (of many) areas where my unfamiliarity with 4E might be hurting me.[/sblock]

What!? Rumbum yells as he finishes off one of the cultist, just in time to witness the spellcasters thunderous attack on the ballistas. Seeing one drop from the sheer force of the blast, Rumbum moves to attack the other. His axe crashes down hard on the foe. ah HAA HA...that what you get for hurting Rumbum's friends!
