Beyond the Rerisen Tower(DM Iron Sky, Judge: renau1g)

Aaaaagh! I'm at my patent's house, which is normally not a problem, but their cable modem decided to die yesterday, and it appears I'll be out of commission until Saturday night. (posting from my iPhone is not going to work well. Sorry for the surprise. I had no idea myself.

Please NPC me if needed to keep the game rolling.

GM: I'll run the game in a few hours after I run some errands. [MENTION=79440]H.M.Gimlord[/MENTION], I only use at-wills if I'm NPCing someone but this situation is pretty dire. I have your approval to use encounters/dailies/APs?

Stalking the Prey, Round 2

The Motes blast into the party, having only moderate effect except for the one that steals a whisp of Kaz's soul and animates it into another Mote.

The Stalkers maul Eithal, nearly dropping her before one of them disappears into the mist. On the other side of the battle, one of them appears suddenly from the mist and sends Fredrock flying before vanishing again into the rocky wood while Kaz somehow senses and dodges the other's attack only to look into the other's eyes and nearly collapse as they drain his life force.

OOC: That's passive insight/perception to determine where the stalkers are, right? We don't roll it?

Edit: at any rate Stalker 4 is probably somewhere in the 3x3 area C14-E16, so Scarm will probably just nuke that area with blazing starfall. I don't advise standing in it :)

GM: It's passive or you can take minor actions to roll.

Toeto, unsure of where to direct her basilik next, backs herself against the rock wall near Fred. The shaman calls once more on the injured land to mend her allies' wounds, and the spirits answer.

Toeto's spirit basilisk takes her place and sniffs noisily. The stalkers are definitely close, but they are beyond even his sight. Rather than attack helplessly at the air, Sprout channels his strength inward. A hard emerald glow envelops each hero surrounding the spirit, granting them a layer of scale-like protection.

OOC: Healing: Kaz spends a surge to gain 18 hp and Fredrock regains 9 hp (no surge).
Fredrock, Kaz, and Toeto have 3 resistance to all damage until the end of the encounter.
[sblock=Toeto stats/actions][sblock=actions]Move: Toeto shifts to D12 and Sprout to D13. Let me know if that turns out to be an illegal move (hidden stalker) and I'll retcon it.

Minor: Healing Spirit on Kaz, secondary effect on Fredrock. Kaz spends a surge to gain 18 hp and Fredrock regains 1d6+4 hp (no surge).

Standard: Protective Roots. Fredrock, Kaz, and Toeto gain 3 resistance to all damage until the end of the encounter.[/sblock][sblock=Spirit's Shield OA]Toeto can take OAs through her spirit companion if an enemy adjacent to it moves without shifting. The power is At-Will, +6 vs Reflex, 4 damage, and Effect: one ally within 5 squares of the companion regains 5 hp (8 if adjacent to the SC).[/sblock]Toeto - Female Lizardfolk Shaman 3
Initiative +3, Senses: Insight +5, Perception +10; low-light vision
HP 12/38; Bloodied 19, Surge Value 9, Surges 3/10
AC 18; Fortitude 16, Reflex 14, Will 17
Speed 5
Action Points 0

Conditions
Bloodied
3 resistance to all damage until end of encounter

Powers
Call Spirit Companion, Protecting Strike, Spirit's Shield, Voice of Battle
Certain Threat, Healing Spirit x2, Lizardfolk Recovery, Second Wind, Speak with Spirits, Spring Renewal Strike
Hungry Spirits Totem, Protective Roots, Spirit of the Healing Flood

Notes
Any ally adjacent to Toeto's spirit companion regains +3 additional hit points when he or she uses second wind or when Toeto uses a healing power on him or her.

[sblock=Spirit Companion rules]The spirit companion is treated as a conjuration with some exceptions.
  • It occupies 1 square like an ally does.
  • It is only affected by melee or ranged attacks (not close/area attacks or zones).
  • It is dispersed if it takes 11 or more damage from a single blow, and Toeto takes 6 damage. It is otherwise unaffected by attacks. It uses Toeto's defenses.
  • It cannot be flanked and it does not grant flanking.
  • It can move 5 squares whenever Toeto takes a move action. It is not affected by difficult terrain.

Rerisen Stalker 4: 4 lightning damage from starting next to Scarm, From Nowhere(+2 CA): 19 Reflex vs Fredrock, hit, 25 damage reduced to 18, Fredrock is pushed 3 reduced to 2 and <1d20=8> is knocked prone, visible. Terrifying Gaze: 18 Will vs Kaz, hit, 7 psychic damage,

OOC: Can't tell from the description if the mark penatly was applied to Terrifying Gaze or not. (if not, it'd be a 16 will vs Kaz--don't know if that helps or not). (it looks like a separate attack from the "from nowhere' attack and did not include Fredrock in the attack, so the -2 should be applied..sadly, I was no longer adjacent, so couldn't do the mind spike on him

Working on my turn--at a loss at what to do actually.

OOC: I'll wait for Kaz to go, then, as he's decently perceptive. Luinnar, if you can pinpoint stalker 3 or 4, try to leave me a 3x3 box that includes it/them.

Your dark sorcery shall not escape from this one! Kaz shouts running a short distance away and slicing the invisible stalker with his giant axe, striking true.

If the target doesn't end its next turn adjacent to Kaz, he can shift 4 squares as a free action, and must end the shift closer to the target.
