Seeing the perpetrator head for the exit, Andrec takes a glance back at the ambassador. Realizing he cannot give chase without leaving Glasston open to the thug before him, Andrec returns his attacker's blows with fervor, calling out to his companions. "Skalisss! Snap out of it, man! Growl - cut her off!"

Andrec's commands strike deep into Skalisss' mind, causing him to immediately regain focus. He triggers his Armors healing powers and savagely attacks the Bruiser again.

The two thugs fall to the heroes swords as Growl roughly pulls the woman away from the door. She staggers forward, her form fading away into nothing as she does so. For a moment you are alone in the room.

But only for a moment. Pungent blue and violet smoke pours from where you last saw the woman, coalescing into a vaguely humanoid form. From the writhing cloud you hear her shriek, "Fools! Do you really think you can stand against Bruno Allastar's right hand? Prepare to die!" She punctuates her ranting by swinging a fist at Growl. Despite the ephemeral structure of her form, she clearly manages to hurt the druid.

Growl charges Beauty with Savage Rend, hitting AC 25 for 10 damage and sliding her away from the door. As an immediate reaction, Beauty turns invisible.

Beauty transforms into her new form and attacks Growl, ending her invisibility. Hits AC 24 for 10 psychic damage, and Growl takes 5 ongoing psychic damage (save ends).

The Bruiser [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2828895/]does not recharge Powerful Strike, so he shifts to C4 and attacks Skalisss with a normal attack, but misses.

The desk and statue in D1 grant cover. The broken statue in D7 and E6 is difficult terrain.[/sblock]

Leaping over the fallen thugs, andrec skirts the outside of the room to run up behind the strange woman, calling to growl "Take this one alive, the guards will want to question her!" On the tail end of his words Andrec sweeps his blade at her legs, leaving himself open for her furious retort.

The smoky figure lashes out at all around her. Skalisss is unfazed, and Andrec is mostly just disoriented, but Growl suffers the worst of it. The druid is clearly close to falling.

Whoops! The Bruiser already died; I just forgot to clear out his action from the previous turn.

Growl's granted attack hits for 12 damage.

On Growl's turn, he takes the 5 damage, hits for 13 more damage, and fails his save.

Beauty shifts to her current location. As a minor she attacks with a close burst 3 that hits Andrec and Growl but misses Skalisss. Those hit suffer 5 psychic damage and are dazed, save ends. As a standard she attacks Growl and Andrec, triggering Divine Challenge. Growl is hit for 9 psychic damage and gains vulnerable 5 psychic (save ends), while Andrec is missed. Growl is also bloodied. Beauty will spend her action point to attack Andrec, but misses.

Andrec shakes his head, calling out half-completed orders regarding filing papers for the upcoming visit of someone he calls 'the ambassador'. Clearly, his mind is in another place. Regardless, his urgings to action have relevance, if not relation, to the current situation.

Skalisss steps in front of the smoky creature that is the Beauty and attemps to strike her down. He also grants Growl the healing touch of Netari.
