D&D 5E Where are the adventures?

I currently play in an ongoing Pathfinder campaign, but the GM takes breaks between adventures and I occasionally step in to take over. I was hoping to run a 5ed game, just to give it a go, and was looking at the official adventures - both published and upcoming - but couldn't see any 'normal' sized adventures (ie the standard 32-page adventure). Does anyone know of any? I don't want to run a 90-odd page adventure and it seemed strange that a short introductory adventure wasn't released right off the bat. I know there's a starter set, but I don't particularly want to purchase that - I just want an old fashioned, normal adventure module!

Anyway, any pointers appreciated.

The Starter Kit is roughly a single adventure for 1-5 levels. I think it's set up as a Sandbox so it can be easily used for a single adventure. Other than that, the adventures they added in the beta might be something you are looking for although you will have to update the monsters.

I have set up one of the 3rd party adventures The Fey Sisters Fate in roll20 as a one shot for later this week, it seems like a pretty good adventure. It is 24 pages, but has some hooks for expanding it if you wish.

If you have any of your favorite pathfinder adventures or any from other versions of dungeons and dragons. All you have to do is replace the the encounters with one more suitable for 5th Edition.

A great way to learn how to DM 5th Edition... If you don't already own it, pick up a copy of the D&D 4e book "Dungeon Delve". Pick any of the 30 delves in the book which are basically 3 room dungeons that you can quickly run in 1 sessions. In the first room create an easy encounter for 5e and your party. In the second room, create a medium encounter. In the third room create a hard boss type encounter. This is how I learned the 5e rules pretty fast. If you have a ton of pathfinder experience, you should have no problem with 5e.

I would recommend not using option rules battle grid combat for 5e for your first session. I have personally found that avoiding the use of miniatures and complex "square rules" really brings out the role play aspect and creativity in players. Making the grid combat rules optional in 5th editions was truly a great decision on Wizards part.

Thanks for the responses. I'll take a look at some of the ideas suggested.

Slightly disappointed they haven't released a short introductory adventure. Seems like an oversight to me.

Anyway, thanks again!

They did it's in the starter box ... or is that too long?

They also have several of the D&D next adventures you can easily play like Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle or whatever it was called. You can buy those as a pdfs.

atmar, as others have said, the Starter Set is probably your best bet. The box is only about $12 on Amazon, so the 64-page adventure is worth that alone.

I imagine that once we see the new third party license--hopefully shortly after the new year--we'll see a flood of adventures.
