Dent stayed put. He swung his longsword at AS8, and concentrated hard on maintaining his blessing of himself, Damien, and Tolan.

OOC: Move: None. Action: Attack with [roll0], add [roll1] to the attack roll, for [roll2]. [roll3] with [roll4] from War Caster feat to maintain concentration on bless. Reaction: Fighting Stance (Protection) on Damien to impose disadvantage on an attack made against Damien so long as Dent can see the attacker and Damien is within 5' of Dent. NB: My read of Fighting Stance (Protection) is that I need to specify a protectee and that the reaction is good only on one attack made on the protectee. PHB 84, for any who want to take a look and have a rules discussion in the OOC.

Dent's strike chips away at the Gargoyle.

Aridha attacks but fails to land a blow on the Gargoyle.

One gargoyle goes for Aridha, one for Carradoc, and one for Tolan.

One bite hits Aridha for 8. One claw hits Carradoc for 5. Tolan gets struck critically again for maximum damage from a claw, dealing 7 points after resistance.

Not having line of sight to the gargoyle he has cursed, Thaliss will blast the one between Dent and Tolan.

OOC: Action: cast eldrich blast on AS8 [roll0] [roll1] Movement: none, but Thaliss will stand ready to move back and use his movement to prevent a gargoyle from getting too close to him Note that Thaliss will use Shield (reaction) if he is hit by another attack Conentration: Hex (disadv. Ha ha! Even having a superficial resemblance to devils makes these gargoyles superior to you worms! Archandros boomed in Damien's head.

Oh... right. Well then, slay away!

The warlock could tell they were in trouble. Most of their weapons were making little headway against the stone hide of the creatures. Focusing on the one Thaliss had earlier blasted in the face, the warlock danced around the melee and struck.

Thaliss blasts a solid chunk out of one of the gargoyles.

Damien maneuvers into the fray with the most damaged gargoyle. His pact blade attack shatters the creature's head from its torso. With his off-hand he does minuscule damage to the other nearby gargoyle.

Thrice-damned things! I need magic to fight them well, and I haven't prepared for that!

Stupidity on her part. Complacence. She'd need to do better.

For now, force of arms would have to compensate for her failure. With a howl of defiance, she swings her sword again at the rocky foes!

Carradoc is satisfied that he has wounded the Gargoyle that slashed him, and is pleased to see it shatter into gravel as Damien strikes.

He turns his attention to the creature at AS8, and send a beam of icy death.

OOC: Will use SHIELD if attacked again. Chill touch: [roll0], if successful damage = [roll1]. After the attack, since there is no gargoyle adjacent to him, Carradoc moves along the eastern wall to a greater position of safety. (AU6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11?)
