You think it's just that simple but it's not. They are spending so little money right now that they don't need to sell loads of their AP's to make money.

Their plan was already in motion and was going to stay in that same direction no matter what.

How much are they making? Or spending?

If you adjust this by saying "The plan was already in motion and was going to stay in that same direction for a certain amount of time no matter what." Then I think your statement would probably be true. The corporate plan isn't going to turn on a dime. Plans are made in advance and they stick to them as best they can until they need adjusting. That's normal practice. But to take that, look at the surveys being conducted, and then assume that the surveys are just distracting PR and the plan was to never change the plan - that's an inference too strong to make from the information we have.

The irony of this statement of course being we are in the midst of a period here on the boards where it seems like everybody is instead currently complaining about "bloat" now that we are seeing the Adventurer's Guide previews and the prestige class UA article.

Six months ago there wasn't enough stuff and WotC was making a horrible mistake. Now, six months later, WotC hasn't yet even technically released anything new and yet people are saying there's going to be too much stuff and WotC is making a horrible mistake.

I know that I have not done a survey to confirm my suspicions, but it is almost as if there are different "people" that want different "things".

I get the sneaking suspicion that all 100% of us here on EN World is full of complete and utter crap. ;)

DEFCON 1 has proficiency and expertise in Sneaking Suspicion.
