Dent's eyes bugged when the roar of bears reached his ears. Started, his head whipped sideways. The distraction cost him; a thug knifed him in the gut. Wincing at the wound's sting, Dent re-focused. He stayed put and continued whaling on McSurly. Administering a beat down on the thug satisfied Dent's baser instincts; he yielded all restraint to the urge to maim and kill, letting adrenaline flow through his limbs into his strikes.

OOC: I am away from my maps but I have the relevant stat blocks.

Dent lands another solid strike, then misses McSurly.

OOC: I think we are lingering on caradoc?

His sleep spell completely ineffective, Carradoc is further surprised by the presence of bears. He distracts one of the thugs sitting at the table beside him and then rips a fold in the universe and steps through it.

OOC: Action: Help next attack on E8. [Maighan gets advantage? or the bear does? I don't mind -- whoever acts first]
Bonus: Misty step to C2.

Three of the thugs attack Dent in a way not unlike a pack of feral dogs. One does score a hit, dealing all of 4 points of damage.

McSurly follows up with another point blank crossbow bolt to Dent. He seems quite fast at cranking the over-sized thing. This bolt somehow finds purchase and deals 13 points of damage.

Maighan is attacked by one lone rogue. She easily avoids him.

The bear at G7 is attacked twice. One hit for 4 damage.

The hedge wizard fires another series of arcane force spines, though less this time. 12 points of force damage.

The elf behind the bar uses a firebolt spell on the hedge wizard. This deals 3 more points to the spiny wizard.

Forged Fury

OOC: I guess some of this depends on whether Maighan makes her concentration check on her summoning spell, I'll just roll with it as if she had.

That wizard looks like trouble... Damien thought, wincing as the force bolts struck the new elf. Suddenly finding himself alone and infused with infernal energy, the warlock slipped from behind the table and past the new elf. So far, the bears had been entirely helpful and Damien hoped to continue the success they had shared. Planting himself, he struck out with his rapier and dagger, seeking to add another soul to his patron's flock.

OOC: Damien
Move: E7 (Should be able to reach it without triggering an OA by moving through Maighan's space as Difficult Terrain)
Action: Attack1 - [roll0], Damage [roll1]
Attack2 - [roll2], Damage [roll3]
Bonus Action: Attack [roll4], Damage [roll5]
Note: Damien attacks the Thug in E8. If he kills the thug and still has his bonus attack left, he throws his dagger at the Hedge(hog) Mage.

Sweat mingled with blood from several wounds, and coursed down Dent's arm, dripping in scarlet splatters to the floor. Ignoring the roaring and growling being committed in tandem behind him and to his side, Dent's eyes zeroed in on McSurly. Dent grit his teeth. He grew tired of the crossbowman, and attempted to push McSurly prone before pressing his attack.

[sblock=OOC]Move: None.

Bonus Action: Athletics to knock McSurly prone [roll6]
Reaction: Fighting Style (Protection) to cause disadvantage on an attack made against the first ally w/I 5' of Dent (if any) to suffer a hit

Dent poured all his rage at being sacked into the blows he rained on McSurly. His longsword glowed hot with the effort, and radiant energy coursed down the blade and into the wounds Dent opened up on his foe.

OOC: Expend a smite on this f-ucker, if he's still not dead after the hit. [roll0] radiant damage on McSurly.
