Carradoc Is holding back, but want to blast something. The Thug at G4 is his best bet. He moves into position (I believe the elf bartender will let him past if he needs to move to F2 to get line of sight, but he won't move if he doesn't have to.

He fires an icy ray: "Pew."

OOC: To hit [roll0]. If a hit, damage = [roll1], no healing for a turn.

[sblock]Maybe I'm a round behind? If so, I apologize. If there's another thug (or this one still standing) that I can hit without endangering myself, I'll fire at him too. To hit [roll2]. If a hit, damage = [roll3], no healing for a turn.[/sblock]

Dent shoved one of the thugs off him, then swung at the two thugs remaining close to him, one blow at each thug.

Maighan lifted her voice then.

"Of the ones still standing...the first to betray his employer and speak, telling us who that employer is, may walk out of this place on his own feet."

She lifted a hand, and the bears all focused on her, waiting for her order.

"The rest will be leaving on their backs, I'm afraid. Carried by others to the waiting earth."

Dent and Carradoc wound the only previously unwounded thug.

Maighan's words seem to resonate with the remaining worthless miscreants and they clamor one after the other in an attempt to surrender before they are put to the sword or spell.

Between the bears, Damien, and Dent, they all are easily restrained for the moment.

Sheathing his dagger, but keeping his pact blade at the ready, Damien kicked the closest thug's weapons under a table and put the point of his blade on the man's throat. "Try not to cough..."

SLAY HIM! I want his souuuuuuul...

Feeling emboldened, the warlock thought, Hold your nightmares, the rest want to talk to these buffoons and I need to pretend like I care. Who knows, maybe they work for someone who might threaten this little evil coup d'etat we have planned.

Nodding with his head in hopes that the rest of the party would follow his lead and seize the thug's weapons, Damien said, "Alright now, you heard the lady, get to talking. But first, apologize to the tavern keeper for messing up her bar."

OOC: Damien
Intimidation: [roll0]
Oops, I forgot I had a CHA of 18. I should have gained 9 THPs from Dark One's Blessing. So, I have 9 THPs right now and one extra HP, as the previous iteration of it would have absorbed one more HP before failing.

All four thugs surrender their weapons. The elven woman running the establishment states, "Each of those insignias had to have been taken from licensed members. Given the disposition of these individuals, I would be within reason to assume they murdered the original owners."

The thugs each also surrender their "tags".

One thug speaks up for the group. "You're not wrong, elf. Killed a whole lot of them mercs you lot run. I'm sorry for your loss, m'lady, but we is in the same line of work... killing for profit. Am I right?"

Damien realized, quite belatedly, that he still appeared to the world as a pot-bellied cooper. Shrugging, he imagined it must have looked quite entertaining.

Mumbling slightly a few seconds before speaking, Thaliss addresses the outspoken thug: "Well now, since we are colleagues, we would appreciate some professional courtesy, which will be advantageous given your situation. Can you tell us whom is your employer, and what exactly is this shape-shifting wizard that seems to be part of your group? The more details you give us, the higher your odds of surviving the next minutes"

OOC: Cast guidance before speaking
Persuasion/intimidation check (same modifier, so you pick which one is necessary) [roll0]
In case you consider Thaliss has advantage: [roll1]
Add guidance bonus to the roll above: [roll2]
