Quoting from the first post in the thread:
The dice themselves are an interesting concept and will require a bit of accommodation for the game to work as a PbP on EnWorld. The way it will work is the player will describe the actions they would like their character to take. Once described, the GM will roll using an online roller and post the results, at which point the player will post in the IC thread.
So that was my plan. You guys tell me what you want to do, we assemble a dice pool, and then I would roll with an on-line dice roller and post the results in the OOC thread. For example, if you were to tell me that your character was going to pilot the
Sarlacc through a thin asteroid belt, I would determine that to be an Average challenge. The dice pool would be built based on your characteristics, skills, challenge, and any other modifiers. I'd roll and post an image of the roll:
Two successes and an advantage.
If you guys want to roll your own dice, we can use the alternate option contained in the book for using standard dice to achieve the same effect; it won't look as pretty, but has the advantage of using the roller here on EnWorld and lets the player's luck/probability to determine success or failure.
You guys can decide which you would prefer here, just post a response to that effect.
