Right, but this ONE night we've just passed was a Long Rest, (I guess we slept, really, really well), and all subsequent nights will be "short" rests, right?

(Oh and to help clarify Greenmtn 's question, as far as I know, they have (or at least have meant to) errata'd references to "daily" or "once per day" to "long rest" in all instances. So if you have something you imagine to be "daily" it will be "weekly" in this game.

AmIrite, Eayres?

Yeah I understood that daily and per long rest were (regularly) the same. I just wanted to make sure I understood this change. Honestly I like it, I kinda wish I had thought of it when I was running Fires of Dis for some friends.

Yes this is correct, everyone had a really good night sleep the first night. :)

I should really start doing that in my home games. I typically run overland things with single set-piece encounters. Players tend to nova all the time with little consequence.

Map of the Area

A sideways map of the area but a map none the less

We're on the wrong side of the River to go anywhere but Redburrow. What do we know about that place? And Radya's Hollow?

In fact, can you give us a quick "everybody knows this" sentence or two on each of the places labelled on the map?

Edit: Wait, Longshadow is a place? Maybe we could head that way. Isn't someone already heading that way?

(Looks) Ah yes, the two traders. We should probably follow them, eventually. Obviously it will be slow going, but ultimately we should head for civilisation, right? I mean, it makes sense to hole-up for a bit, but we're not planning on founding a new town deep in the woods, are we?

Or does everyone still think the Gobos will leave and we can move these people back home?

The player's companion (spoiler-free, obviously, since it's meant for players) has a decent gazetteer of the region. Although I don't believe it mentioned Radya's Hollow or Redburrow by name. I'm actually really glad I read it during character creation, because I wasn't going to train in Stealth until I got an idea of what to expect in this AP.*

For the time being, I'm inclined to follow Aubrin and Flint, taking this one day at a time. We need water and shelter, Aubrin says there's some in whatever direction, let's start there. Challenges and choices will surely present themselves as we start seeing to immediate needs.

*I still find it kind of incredible that we managed to put together a 7-PC party for a wilderness adventure but we don't have a ranger or a druid.

LOL I didn't look at the adventure or anything about it at all. Completely blind. I'll check out the players companion now though. See how ill suited I am. :)

Yup thats him in the back. No regrets!

I might have to think about getting armor that doesn't give me disadvantage on stealth rolls though.
