Wizards getting their specialities at level 2 has opened a few new things for Vin.

In addition I have chosen Color Spray and Find Familiar as his two new spells.

It can be done, and since you saved the blacksmith, Kining Blondebeard, it can be done in a day and since you helped save her life she'll only charge you one gold.

Kidding she will do it for free.

Awesome. I believe that we have two suits, so someone else can use it too.

Ideally I would take scale mail but... would it be possible to have, erm, chain shirt plus? Like the blacksmith removes not as much and it gives 14 AC but disadvantage on stealth?

I bet she makes that joke! (As long as she has some pliers, she should be able to make size adjustments to chainmail quickly.)

Yeah I could see that, perhaps she reinforces certain sections but it makes more noise when you move, I can see that so 14 AC + Dex max 2, with disadvantage and weighs say 30lbs.

Flint would happily borrow Vin his armor, but I don't think an elf fits into dwarven studded leather...

Well...

One could make a pretty reasonable argument that the scraps of chainmail left over from the suit pared down for Lal (remember there is a 2nd suit too) could be used to reinforce leather or padded armor to increase the AC from 11 to 12.

*however*

I'm not sure pairing down the chain shirt even more to make it light armor work. What's left, a chainmail bikini?
