Video review of Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.

WTF did they do to Sorrowsworn?

They are nothing like 4e, I'm really curious about their fluff now, they look more like creepy horror movie mutant monsters.

Noticed the Elder Evils section after the Star Spawn.

Loved the Deathlocks, great servants for any pact and adds a level of horror to Warlock PC.

Not happy with the Eldarin monster section, I wss expecting Ghaele, hell even 4e had a type of Ghaele. Its just generic Winter, Summer, Autumn, Spring Eldarin.

He skips over the Eladrin fluff page so quickly that most of it is unreadable, especially towards the top. I could make out a line "The eladrin presented here..." which implies that there are other types of eladrin than those presented in the book, which seem to be variants of the PC race eladrin.

He also, annoyingly, skips over every yugoloth other than the yagnoloth at the very end. I was hoping we'd clear up the mystery over what the oinoloth entry entails!

The guy who originally linked the Monsters by CR page linked the Oinoloth art. Which looks a lot like Anthraxus.

Thanks for that! Although most of the text is cut off, you can see that the plural is used when describing them ("...they are..."), so presumably they are a new type of yugoloth based on the original unique Oinoloth (assuming the text there is for them and not for some other yugoloth variant, but the fact it's right above the oinoloth stat block, given the name drop in the text below the creature, it seems a reasonable assumption it does refer to them). Probably they are servants or creations of the original of some sort.

There is. You can see it at 4:04 in the video at the top of the thread, along with sea elves and shadar-kai.

Right, but there don't appear to be any corresponding stats- I had assumed that the review video had booped over them, so I asked someone who had it on twitter and they didn't see any, just a lot of descriptive text.

That being said, I see a table for autumn personality stuff, but the others are absent with the following page having something else, so it seems like he is booping over a page there? Hopefully he was just a bit mistaken.

He skips over pages 62 and 63. You can (barely) make out that he's on pages 60 - 61 when showing the start of the Elf sub-race section, and that he's on pages 64 - 65 with the end of the Elves chapter and the start of the Dwarves chapter. The page numbers are confirmed in the Table of Contents at the start of the video. Also - why would the book only have info on autumn eladrin? Why would the book say that you can create characters of those sub-races with the DMs permission, but not give the stats on how to do so? I have a feeling your Twitter source didn't look at those pages...

Yeah thats what i'm thinking,

The same guy, who leaked the CR tables, says that there are rules for playable Devils, but it is not super clear if he just means the Tieflings subraces?
