I think the idea of movie items is cool, so i'll be doing some items from GITS and GITS:SAC
First up Thermoptics!

The attached pic is of a Tachikoma (they'll be up next!)

Depending on the level of technology in your campaign there are a few options.

Size:-

This first option is for a more "current" technology level. Thermoptics would be limited to special forces type units. The unit consist of a helmet, arm and leg coverings, a battery mounted pack and torso protection. Looking very much like padded prtection and linked by wires it provides a plus 15 to hide checks while hidding and 10 while moving.

This option is for a not far off future version. While still not avalible to the gerneral public the type of camofalgue has reached some police departments. Usually intergrated into a tactilcal suit, the weight has been greatly reduced beacuse of advancements battery technology.

Here's one of Kasanagi wearing tactical thermoptic armor.
Benefit: Provides a +25 to hide checks when immoble and 15 while moving. A character employing this version is "invisible" to all forms of vision ie inferred, infervision, etc. at the values given.

This version is easlily concealable and can be made to look like any peice of clothing, although large jackets and coats are more common. Technology has gotten so good that these can be found in the hands of more wealthy criminals.
Benefit: Provides invisibility (as per the spell) for a total of 5 minutes. It also provides the same protection from all types of vision ie infervision, inferred, etc.

Just one. I doubt you can fit a Small handgun in the arm holster. Tiny handgun, yes, but Small?

Now unless you wear a very loose, very wide sleevecoat, someone is going to notice the bulk underneath the sleeve of a sport blazer.
 

The size category of small has some guns that I feel could easly work in a device like this. There are some that are classified as small but in my opinion would be a little dificult to hide. So going with the cinimatic approach I chose the small category. It allows for a range of weapons and still considers size.

Feat required to opererate: Surface Vehicle Operation

The Tacikoma is a one person assualt tank. Used by special forces and specialty police forces (Section 9) this tank has Fire power, speed, agility, toughness, and the ablity to operate on it's own. In it's right "hand" it has a high powered rotating machine gun (damage 3d6) capable of stopping most threats. For those times that call for a little more it "mouth" is capable of fireing two 25mm shells. (Reloading is done externaly) Another wonderful feature is the addition of Poly-Cord (tm). Poly-Cord is a tough fiberous material similiar to a spiders web. It's housed in two tanks on the sides of the crew compartment. It's a liquid, but when exposed to the air it quickly hardens allowing for towing, propelling down the sides of buildings or even disabling vehicles.

*Other rules

The Tachikoma has stats. That is because of the advanced AI (Excitable and happy). It is capable of operating on its own. So a DM can run it. Because of this vehicles rules need adjusting. This tank can jump and perform other skills. When using those skills use character ranks in pilot plus the Tachikoma's relevant stat. So as I said Jump. It's pilot has 5 ranks in pilot and the Tachikoma has a Str adjustment of +8 for a total +13.

When opperating on its own the Tachikoma opperates as if it has the following feats: Evasion, Personal Firearms Proficiency Advanced Firearms Proficiency, Strafe

These are common skills that a Tachikoma may have. You can adjust them as you see fit. Remeber that they are intellegent so they can learn new skills. If you decided that you would like it to have skill in disable device (computer hacking) or repair (Tachikoma) that is easily done.

Poly-Cord is a neat compact item housing an amazing 50 ft of a rope like material. It can be use to tie up opponents (simply spray out lengths, it dries instantly, and tie up your captive) or be use to make your escape. Each can hold up to an amazing 50’ of material and is much stronger than ordinary rope.

*Tanks on the Tachikoma are larger holding about 300ft of Poly-Cord. The Tachikoma also has a specialized fireing mechanism that has a range of 40ft.

Tomb Raider Back pack

I couldn't find any pics but if you've seen the movie you know what it looks like.

This rig incorperates the idea behind the spring loaded arm holsters but for extra clips. It's attached to the person with a harness and has room for 6 clips (3/side). This device allows for rapid reloading of two weapons at the same time. Reloading is still a move action, but with this harness you can load two in that time instead of one.

Very nice, with the drum clips.
Hmmm, as for the 100 rounds IN it? Personally, I'd put it at adding about 5lbs to the weight.
Plus, those things have a bad habit of jamming if they get a hard jog. Any rule adjustments to reflect that?
All in all, though, nice.
