Round 0
Rotom settles in front of the lock with her picks and threads them into the lock. Her tongue sticks out in concentration a bit. She can’t quite get the tumblers to align. They just won’t -- then suddenly she moves the pick just right and the lock clicks open.

Ogham looks around for signs of small animals, such as mice or bugs, that might be able to sneak beneath the door. Alternatively, a larger and more intelligent creature that may be able to tell who lives where.
Rotom steps aside as Korra enters the opens the door. Taking one last look at the area to make sure they aren't being observed or followed, before preparing to go in herself.
OOC:
I don't know if I should roll for that or if it should be a hidden check. Whichever you feel works should be ok.

Round 0
Ogham finds himself eye to nose with a small mouse. It backs deeper into the hole slightly, but doesn’t flee, just eyes the warforged with wary curiosity.
Korra opened the door and walked inside the apartment. Cabinets hung on the north wall of the large room, which was hazy with the smell of tobacco. Near the east wall stood an overstuffed couch. A rectangular table turned on its side blocked a closed door on the south wall. A window looked out from the west wall.
As Korra scanned the room, she saw traces of black feathers sticking up from behind the couch and the overturned table, giving her enough warning of the ambush to be prepared.
OOC:
Enemies won initiative. Alara is surprised because her passive perception didn’t beat the DC. Ogham is surprised because he is in the hallway and unaware, and prone at the mouse hole.
The kenkus rose up from behind their furniture cover and fired shortbows at Korra.
Korra blinked in surprise and turned her head, looking at the wall behind here where three arrows were sticking, then pulled the fourth out of her chainmail, where it had gotten stuck harmlessly in the mesh.
OOC:
Korra and Rotom are up! Alara and Ogham are surprised and can’t take actions, but they do get reactions.

"Tovekili! Take cover!" Rotom shouts a warning to her companions still in the hallway.
Seeing that Korra has the two kenku at the couch on lock-down, the artificer decides to take on the ones at the table. Drawing her dagger, she finds a strike path past the table and into one of the bird-men.
