D&D General What Product Do You Wish They Sold For D&D

WISHlist....sure.

1. A resurrected Dungeon magazine, with 3-4 different power level adventures I can if into any campaign world. Compete with a fold out double sided battlemap poster of the two most interesting areas AND electronic versions of all the maps in the issue available to download.

2. A fully functional color e-ink display with a hinged middle and two letter sized displays so I can have my entire physical book library ( of every game ever) condensed into an easily readable portable format. Bonus points if the outer cover is also e-ink and could replicate the covers and spine of the book being replicated.

3. That DnD demo on the prototype Microsoft Surface to have been perfected, cheap, and readily available.
regarding point1, have you seen Arcadia?

for point2, e-ink refresh rates are pretty bad in ways that make using a PDF on them painful, but calibre can put a lot of things onto ebook readers. Those ebook readers like nook & kindle tend to support a pretty wide variety of file types beyond just epub.

That last point though, I doubt we will ever see those surface tables it ran on again & suspect we won't want them. Look at the nfl hololens video & it's easy to see that table updated for AR as VTTs & AR technology advances but I don't expect it to happen soon.

I think they probably had scans of them, or they literally have to get an intern to scan them or something.
Yes they do have scans. At one point sometime in the early 2000s when they first started selling .pdfs WotC put out an open call for people to donate their old books. They specifically said that the books would be "destroyed" by the pages being removed for scanning and the people wouldnt get their pages back.

Nah, you don’t need the whole PHB. It would mostly be the setting book+.
Great idea!
Setting-flavored Basic Rules + necessary add-ons for the setting's themes.

I think a box with a few maps, a booklet of adapted basic rules + adapted/special player options, a booklet with the setting information and some monsters, a small level 1-5 campaign in a 3rd booklet, and maybe a thematic set of dice, would sell well.

d4 dice that are less pointy and easier to roll.
It can be done various ways; truncated tetrahedron and rhombic dodecahedron are some of the more obvious ones.

I love these from Q-Workshop. Unfortunately they seem to only come in the pair of d2 and d4 for around $9.00. I ended up getting 2 sets and drilling more holes in the d2 to make more d4 and filled them in a-la 1e dice.

Hell yeah. And I’d leave out stuff like races that don’t have a significant role in the setting, only include the most iconic subclass and the most setting appropriate subclass for each class, etc. Just focus the ruleset more tightly on the setting, and make it clear that the game is compatible with normal 5e D&D if you want to add more options to your Adventures In Eberron game.

I think they should put out setting specific intro sets for Eberron, Theros, Wildemont and others as they appear.

Well, here we go:

Player's Option: Expanded Races & Classes - This is just like Chapters 3, 4, and 5 of Player's Option: Skills & Powers, except for the Barbarian, Psionicist, and Ninja classes, the Monk and Assassin classes, all of the setting-specific classes; and likewise, the most popular Complete Book of Humanoids, Complete Spacefarer's Handbook, and Complete Planewalker's Handbook races (plus the Githyanki) and the Mystara and Dark Sun races.

Player's Option: Fantastic Martial Arts - Reconcile and expand Chapters 4 and 5 of Player's Option: Combat & Tactics with Chapter 4 of the Complete Ninja's Handbook, and incorporate some of the lower-level Tome of Battle: Book of Nine Swords concepts (as proficiencies) and include some non-combat Martial Arts & Crafts proficiencies. Maybe expand Chapter 7 of Combat & Tactics with modern/future weapons & armor (and combat styles) if you need more page count.

Since WotC is obviously not going to do this... I would really wish for a Player's Option retroclone that included a very broad selection of OGC races and classes and incorporated Path of War material into its proficiency system.

I wish Rogue Genius Games would publish more of their Complete Guide to the Talented X series for PF1, specifically for the Shifter and Magus classes and please please please do the DSP psionic classes.
