So, this has a fun interaction with faceless haven. Put the counter on faceless haven when it is a creature, and after your turn it goes back to being a land wich is harder to kill

It’s not strictly worse than any of those, because it serves a different role than they do. Sure, those spells do more total damage for less mana, but they can be countered, and they can each only hit one target. At its best, Magic Missile can be a 3-for-1, when these spells can only ever be 1-for-1s.
In practice, Magic Missile is worse than these spells in most situations. But it’s not strictly worse, like how shock is strictly worse than lightning bolt.
