Ultimately this is a subjective issue but I don't think you could even make the argument that there is a downward trend.

An excellent illustration of why "Disneyfied" is such a useless term here, since here you acknowledge even Disney has different art styles. "Classic" D&D art is more in line with with "classic" Disney style, so classic D&D art is just as much "Disneyfied" (for its time) as modern D&D art.
