I was thinking Saltmarsh for my next campaign. Not sure if a $300.00 box will help that much, although I did not see anything on their site about the actual cost. Likely too much for my blood. I am interested if anyone bought one of these boxes and if they felt it was worth it.

I have the Saltmarsh box from the last time it was offered if anybody has questions about it.

It isn’t $300 btw. At least last time it wasn’t. $175, if I recall correctly, which is among their most modestly priced boxes. No minis, FWIW.

And it’s live.

I see this one does not include the burlap sack the original one did. I'm imagining if they did not tell us that it is not included, some people would complain they need it instead of more maps or such.

So just how many maps are in this and how big are they? How many are laminated? I can't find it on their website or in an unboxing video.

IMO they made some disappointing choices with the maps in this set.

There is only one large, dry-erase, fold out map scaled for use with minis. It’s the Sea Ghost from Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh.

There is a second large-scale fold-out color map on high-quality paper (but not dry erase). It has the overview map of The Styes on one side, and a battle map of the final temple encounter from that adventure on the other.

There is also a color map of the town of Saltmarsh (from the hardcover), 8.5 x 11 inches and laminated.

All the other maps included are 8.5 x 11 laminated pages, but they are just monochrome maps a la the hardcover book, and not scaled for minis.
