what superhero movie do you want to see?

Spider-man!

Oh, wait that's been done.

Bone! No, that's not a superhero comic.

Preacher? No, more supernatural than superheroic.

Guess I'll have to go with Captain America and/or the Avengers.

I really want to see a watchmen movie, but to do it right it would need to be a mini series, and you can't really change the characters/ plot. As long as its done right I would love it.

Ghostrider! Is that guy even still around? I haven't bought a comic since I was like 12.
A "Ghost Rider" film script has been floating around for a few years now. It originally was going to star Johnny Depp, then Nicholas Cage, and the name I heard most recently was Keifer Southerland.

The original comic ran from 1973 to 1983 and ran for 81 issues. It was about a Hollywood stunt man named Johnny Blaze who could transform into a supernatural flame-headed demon that shot hellfire from his hands. In the final issue the two became separated and the demon died.

In 1990 they began another series that became extremely popular, running until 1998 for 93 regular issues, 2 annuals, and several team-up specials. The concept was simlar to the first series, except the main character was a teenage boy and the demon was made more dark and powerful. At the height of the series popularity they simultaneously did a 22-issue series called "Spirits of Vengence", with the new Ghost Rider teaming up with Johnny Blaze.

There was recently a 4-issue Ghost Rider mini-series, but I did not pick it up so am not sure if it is the same character or a new one.

Marvel has also put out two other Ghost Rider comics, one was a western that ran for 7 issues back in 1967; the other was set in their year 2099 Marvel Universe, and ran for 25 issues from 1994 to 1996. There was also a 30th century version of the character in the Guardians of the Galaxy series.

All versions of the character (except the western) rode on flaming motorcycles.

I do not want to see any movie based on current comic book supers. Those superheros just don't translate well to the movie medium.

If Hollywood wants to make a superhero movie, do something original and made for moving pictures.

I can't decide I'm lost in a see of marvels and DC, I'm only knowing of X-men, superman, bat man and justice league( the new 6 character one) There has already been a flash, x-men bat man and super man, and Daredevil (one guy I know about and like the idea of.) The geen lantern seems the only one i would know of, but I don't like him much. Oh and i know about Hulk.

any idea about DC and marvel all the characters etc

I second the move for a Flash film. He's got powers that would translate well to film, a pretty decent rogue's gallery if I remember correctly, and a lot of personality just begging for a good writer. But where I'd really like to see him is in a JLA movie! The Grant Morrison JLA, with all the heavy hitters. I know the licensing for those characters is a legalistic nightmare, but a geek can dream.

I don't know about GL though, I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole. I haven't followed comics in a couple years, but weren't people almost coming to blows over what DC did to Hal Jordan? I happened to really like the Kyle Rayner GL, but I don't think you could get all those fans to agree on who gets to be GL. As long as it's not the guy from the new JLA cartoon, he is so frickin dull. I'd take Guy Gardner over that dude.

I know about 100 million people who saw Spiderman who might disagree with you. :D

His name is John Stewart, and the comics version is pretty much nothing like the TV version. And let's be fair, NONE of the characters in the Justice League cartoon are interesting. Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Hawkwoman are all the same: bad ass warriors. Much as I love the cartoon, characterization is minimal.

But a Green Lantern movie would be amazing. It has more potential than most single characters, and translates VERY well to the movies. His powers lend heavily to special effects, and really cool ones at that. It blends the super-hero genre with the sci-fi genre very well, and you can have anywhere from a high level of sci-fi content to almost zero (beyond the premise). His powers are almost unlike anything seen before in movies and super-hero movies, whereas we've seen people go through walls, smash through walls, and shoot lasers from their eyes a million times already. And the various ring bearers in the past mean they could pick just about any popular or up-and-coming actor to play the lead.

The Green Lantern history isn't a problem. It's nowhere near as confusing or controversial as X-Men. Sure, they wouldn't be able to please every fan, but that's not necessary for a good movie. As long as it was a good movie, the rest wouldn't matter.
